Splitting the difference could be a good compromise. Something like counting the closest guess for full points and the second guess for half points would still add some chances to hedge and cover 50/50s but would still reward commitment.

Depends on if your opponents are stupid enough to split guess aswell, in that case multis will just move up, no damage will be dealt, and chances for your opponents to reverse sweep increase. On the other hand if the multis are high enough already and you split but they commit and happen to be right on it, they might still take an insane amount of health off of you. So there's no exactly right way of doing things mathematically here, another reason why the way the damage system works in this mode is awful. It's a fun idea they tried to implement there but ultimately it's a fail. They should reverse it to best guess is counted only, and if they wanna be funny they could add something like minor damage scales for the second closest guess. Lets say the loc is in Krasnodar and Team 1 both get it but Team 2 sends one guy Krasno and the other in Wolgodonsk then both closest guesses basically do no damage whatsoever but to reward the commitment of Team 1 both second closest guesses from each team also trade dmg/health but only with a 0.2x multiplier. For example lets just say both first guesses ended up being a 4900 in terms of score so there's 0 damage dealt there; the second guesses were a 4700 for Team 1 and a 3700 for Team 2 so with no multiplier this would be 1k damage but because it's second guesses it's 0.2x so it's only 200 damage. When the multipliers go up to let's say 3.5x the same example would equal 700 damage. In my opinion that would be a very nice way of being able to reward committing/punish too big of a hedge without failing the entire idea of Team Duels.

@@Lennli I don't think it's quite the same as the score reduces exponentially with distance. So one close and one far is better than two in the middle (if you know it's going to be one of the two and middle is not a possibility).
