Billy Gibbons denies it, but those of us who grew up in the 70’s thought they named the band after Zig Zags and Tops rolling papers lol

The name of the band was Gibbons' idea. The band had a little apartment covered with concert posters and he noticed that many performers' names used initials. Gibbons particularly noticed B.B. King and Z. Z. Hill and thought of combining the two into "ZZ King", but considered it too similar to the original name. He then figured that "king is going at the top" which brought him to "ZZ Top.

I used to walk around singing this when I was a little girl. 😂 I had no idea what it meant, I just loved the beat of the song. My brother was 12 years older than me and him and his friends would play and sing this song all the time. Sang it in front of my mom one day and got in all kind of trouble!

I met Billy gibbons (the guitar player) at a bar in Hollywood. I was the only one who knew who he was, so I ran up shook his hand and got a pic with him. He was calm cool and humble.

Great song one of the all time classics in the ZZ Top catalogue. RIP to the late great Dusty Hill giving out the vocals here. These three are one tight band Billy Gibbons playing that great bluesy guitar and Frank Beard(the only one one without a beard) on drums keeping that rhythm. You got to do Heard it on the X!

I have just spent the last month fighting this damn virus. Tested positive day before Thanksgiving, hospitalized 2 times for a total of 8 days. Not fun at all & still not over it! Wake up with a headache everyday and the fatigue is unreal 😏 It’s the sickest I’ve ever been in my life.

It set up pneumonia in my lungs, I was in hospital for 9 days, still in bad shape but I got oxygen at home now and feel like I can survive it better at home than in the hospital at this point.......as long as money for oxygen don't run out

@@Casey_Rickman I too had pneumonia in both lungs. I was treated with powerful steroids and oxygen as well. This thing is no joke at all. One of my biggest problems was I had a fever of 101-103+ for nearly 3 weeks solid even taking Tylenol and couldn’t get it down. I wish you a full recovery and will keep you in my thoughts 🙏🏼
