Gonna repaste this everywhere so people know; The way the skill works is just subtracting 25% from whatever damage stat you have, which is the WHOLE stat, not just the bonus. So 110% would go down to 85% before and will now be down to 60%. Some people are saying it would reduce 110% to 105% but that is NOT the way the skill works.

Blood exchange is a low tier ability In everything but solos. Game is balanced around trios. But god dang they shouldn’t have buffed anything on barb.

HOLY SHIT this is crazy, you know that barb that killed you in ruins, with barb and barber at the top, I sold that guy my kit(one of my buddies) and I remember having shits and giggles at you doing backflips away from as I saw it on the sharescreen(this was all pre barb buff btw) his name is Thekidneypounder real chill guy tbh

Barb nerf missed the problem, and at least the buffs will mean barbs wont run achilles anymore, maybe. Barbs are too fast, do too much damage, and are too tanky. I think they should have adjusted agi and vigor scaling and nerfed achilles strike by either reducing the move speed penalty, removing damage per step, giving achilles a time limit (like BoC), or by making the hit that applies achilles always deal limb damage (the description says it strikes the heels of the target)

It's the holy trinity of balance. Mobility, Damage, Durability. If you give all 3 to any class, it will overperform. Period. Rogues have mobility and damage but are very squishy. Wizards sacrifice some mobility for even more damage. Barbarian starts with high durability AND damage, so the only stat they need is mobility. Agility primarily and some dexterity and they broke the rule of trinity balance. Cloth fighter is also a big problem. I got two tapped by a slayer fighter with an arming sword and 158 hp. He presses sprint and hits 350 MS while having barbarian hp and rogue damage. These tanky classes should NOT be out-performing, or at least equally performing, to the dps classes in the game. Period.

I'm a wizard main. These past few patches have quite literally made the game miserable. It's so unplayable. I have to play at the top 1% of the playerbase, while using the best gear in the game, and I can't make a single little mistake or I just instantly die.

Factually wrong. You can quite literally open the game up yourself to check. Savage roar: "Frightens all enemies within a 7.5m radius for 8 seconds, reducing their physical damage bonus by 50%."

On wipe day I would main bard for the first 2 months I could almost hit pathfinder I switched to barb I w key everyone hit explar in 4 days

Honestly should be like blow of corruption. I don't really get why some abilities have a timer and some don't. Rogue is fine, but rupture, cutthroat, etc, not having a timer is weird when BoC does. Achilles should have a timer.

The rage Nerf was solid, and the other changes only really affect Him in trios. Rage probably should have been nerfed a little bit more though, and achilles should have caught a nerf too. Calling it an overall buff is a bit dishonest, since it's a solos nerf, and a trios buff. Hopefully next patch he'll catch more nerfs for solos, and maybe a few buffs for trios. I think he should definitely get a base agility nerf. 13 agility is too high IMO. He should have to fully spec move speed and have to play like more of a glass canon, if he wants to achieve the speed that he is currently hitting so easily.

@@Titanicunillingus To be fair rogue is fairly weak. It's like a worse barbarian. I'd rather face a rogue any day of the week than a barb. Barbs are as fast as rogues but twice as tanky and hit harder. lmao The only issue with rogue that I have is invis mechanics. Landmine rogue is unfun and just silly from a skill and competitive stand point. But they keep nerfing double jump and mobility instead of nerfing perks/skills/etc related to hiding and ambushing. I wish my character could just open their eyes when a rogue is fully invisible but in a clear as daylight room. Stealth in general needs reworked from the ground up. It needs some kind of system like Baldur's Gate has with the different lighting levels affecting your ability to hide. (NOT an RNG/dice roll system for hiding, just the different light levels changing how hide works.)

The physical damage bonus is a very small number, you don't do "half" damage

Wrong, you go from like 10% physical damage bonus to -40% physical damage bonus. I've personally tested it myself, that's how it's always worked.

Wouldn't the physical damage bonus percentage affect only the physical damage bonus one has rather than the total damage one does? So it shouldnt affect the base damage from a weapon from what I understand only the bonus multiplier that you would get, which is still pretty strong unless I am misunderstanding something with the calculations of this game.

Yes, you are correct. You won't be doing half damage, just half your bonus damage from your physical damage bonus. It's like a decrease of 5 damage from what it was. Not that bad

physical damage bonus is just the multiplier applied to your weapon damage. For example if you have a 20 damage rapier you get roared and now it does 10 damage. of course, characters have their own physical damage bonus and you also have to account for damage reduction.

@@jamescarriere4930 that is not how physical damage bonus works. if you are in the negative physical damage bonus, you are multiplying your base damage by a negative modifier.

Kinda, it's subtracts 50% (not divides) from your current physical power bonus. If you're at 60%, it'll go down to 10%. If you're at 5%, it'll go down to -45%.

Perhaps I'm not playing high-teir enough to see it, but in Norm Solo and low-rank HR Solo, I don't tend to run into any issues killing Barbs as a Fighter, Warlock, or Cleric, all of which I see as overall stronger classes. Is it a skill thing, or a gear thing?

honestly mainly gear, but barb utilizes gear arguably the best since they start so good at base. so its kind of both, but mainly gear. normal lobbies have wayyyy better balancing in my experience.

its the axes and the movement speed. they hit you with throwing axe with achilles and give you a -55% slow and then run up and instakill you with their 2-hander/swing viking sword which takes only 2-3 hits instead. its pretty much impossible to outrun barbarian because of how strong the slows are

No no, fighter and warlock are much stronger than barb. Unfortunately this community can’t use their brains or fingers which is why these fighter players complain about barb. Longsword is barbs hard counter - falchionheater crossbow is the staple for dispatching all other classes. Btw I don’t main barb because I’m not brain dead w key player, just look at the leaderboards they’re all either fighter or warlock with some other classes in between.

Your physical damage % will be flat reduced by 50%. Bonus doesn't mean bonus in this game for some reason. So if you have 0% physical damage bonus, you'll get -50% physical damage bonus. It's worse than it sounds.

It is for total damage. Your physical power bonus goes from +10% to -40%
