I don't knoooow. The leadership roles seem kinda toxic to me. When the group gets in trouble it falls on the leaders who get consequences for the whole team and then they turn on their teammates and are pissed and yelling at them to shut up and stuff. I understand the girls should follow directions but I don't think the leaders should always be given the consequences for their peers actions. They can only do so much honestly.

I see where your coming from. My perspective is that their purpose for making the leaders do all the punishments their peers do is a bigger lesson than cheer. In the real world, leaders don’t have the choice of taking the responsibility of the group. It teaches the girls to make sure they are clear with their direction for minimum error and confusion which means they have to extra prepared so they don’t have to do those punishments.

If you notice the coaches can never give criticism in a correct tone there always cussing and yelling and now the girls are starting to pick up on it for example last video cadence was so disrespectful to Lawrence after she gave her opinion these girls are just mocking the behavior they see there coaches display so unfortunately we can’t really blame them. There are only two cheerleaders the team respects, and thats Payton and Cheyenne. To me, these are the two that should be the team leaders. Payton gets respect because she a 4 year vet, she's clean, and listens to the girls and doesn't goof off. They respect Cheyenne, because she's that girl, and her swag is what they aspire too. They all look at her and she is also kind person. Sad that some of the older girls don’t give Alima respect because of her age, it’s clear to see. Yahari, is a great motivator but needs to work on her leadership skills. And Aliyah is just there.
@qumbie06
@qumbie06 2 жыл бұрын
Yahari seems a little to angsty to be a leader. She has shown in past episodes she gets mad and puts blame on others instead of learning how to get constructive to make her team better when she is called out and then another example of this in this episode. She seems like a great regular teen who doesn't always have their emotions in check but leadership qualities demand that you know how to respect your team and make them respect you, yelling "shut up" because she is frustrated and doesn't understand how to flip the situation to a positive one just proves leadership role is not for her. She only further brought the team down. It takes an exceptional teenager to be able to be a leader at that age because they are still learning the in ands out and I just don't think Yahari seems quite there yet. They got yelled at by the coaches and then by their peer leader. Coaches I get it but peer leaders should be someone they are comfortable going to and not get belittled by. Should whomever laughed have laughed at that moment, absolutely not, but as a peer leader Yahari should have stopped explained what she was feeling and what the team needs to do and move on. Instead she acted like a baby and yelled "shut up" and then rejected the praise someone was trying to give a few seconds later. A leader leads by example and that is certainly not an example of anyone I would see as a leader.
@tmslovee
@tmslovee 2 жыл бұрын
i completely disagree. leaders are allowed to show their frustration with their team. i would be annoyed too if i had to do a punishment for other people and then they came over still trying to joke around. i think between the four of them, yahari is the most vocal after peyton, and is very deserving of her leadership role.
@qumbie06
@qumbie06 2 жыл бұрын
@@tmslovee I very much agree leaders are allowed to show frustration however the difference is made between a leader and a non-leader in the way that they show that frustration and how they take that a build upon it to make it positive. Peyton for example steps in to help those who don't understand what's going on if someone is misstepping or whatever the case and then also politely puts the girls back in place if they have an issue like Yahari was faced with by using appropriate language and keeping her cool. Leaders have a lot of pressure put on them, it's a huge role. Yahari wanted this role so to be annoyed by it seems contradicting in a way. I didn't see Alima or Cheyenne being mean to others bc they had to do the punishment, they were on equal ground with Yahari. I saw them jump right back into action as leaders should. Yahari has voiced her frustrations to the coaches about her teammates before but I never see her going out of her way to teach those who are behind like Peyton and Alima have ( maybe we don't see it but it is worth mentioning bc I have seen a lot of it from Peyton and Alima).
@tmslovee
@tmslovee 2 жыл бұрын
@@qumbie06 Well Alima and Peyton are the main leaders so they have a little more responsibility (i’m guessing that’s why we see them do more of the teaching and guiding than yahari and aliyah). And you’re right, leaders are held to a higher standard and need to lead by example. I just also think that expressing frustration does not automatically disqualify yahari from being a good leader. I think back to when they had hell week, it was yahari and peyton that were stepping up the most and really leading the team, which is why yahari is a part of the leadership team. I just give people grace to be themselves and it was clear that Yahari was frustrated from being scolded and then when the team came over, someone was still trying to joke around as if they did not care that the leaders were doing a punishment for everyone joking around during practice. That, to me, is even more disrespectful, so I think Yahari was justified in telling whoever it was to shut up. I think both things can happen, and I think the recovery thereafter is the true show of leadership. She could’ve stayed mad the entire remainder of the practice and held an attitude with everyone but she didn’t. She had her moment and allowed herself to be angry for a minute then moved on and got back to it.
@denishashaw
@denishashaw 2 жыл бұрын

@tmslovee
@tmslovee 2 жыл бұрын
@@denishashaw The moral to my point is that leaders are human still and should be given the grace to have a human emotional moment without that disqualifying them from being a leader. She didn’t cuss nobody out, and she didn’t walk out on everyone. She had a moment, an outburst of emotion which wouldn’t have happened had everyone been doing what they were supposed to be doing.

After watching this video I will say this out of respect. Leaders Coach Tya is correct it's your job to lead not stand there and play and joke around with the group. You have to learn to be upset with yourselves as Leaders not the young ladies and I say that because if you're not doing your job you get in trouble. As a leader you own no right to ever tell someone to shut up because you gotten into trouble it's your fault. If you talk to them with respect they will give you the same back. If you come out harsh they gonna react to it. Coach mom and daughter both said to you ladies becareful how you speak to the girls it's not what you say it's how you say it. I used to tell my girls if your attitude is nasty guess what you gone receive that same energy back. If you as a leader get into trouble with coaches and the other girls come help out and encourage you stop being mean that's not lady like at all. Show respect and love to each other as a team one go down you all go down. To me shut up is an ugly word please stop using it. I love ladies but the respect comes a long way.

Faith is such a team player. If anybody needs help with anything, she’s always the first to help a sister out. I know being on a team with all girls can be difficult. But the whole team needs to be cohesive. Otherwise having leaders is pointless. If the girls don’t respect the leaders there will always be attitudes, disrespect, profanity. Yahari needs to work on control her emotions. Alima needs to stand up for herself more. Payton needs to stop being controlling and rude. Aliyah needs to more assertive. I know in the beginning you always ask; why should we pick you for JCEA? I think the girls need to be reminded why they joined in the first place.

is it just me or does it seem like faith just doesn't have that same spark she had in previous seasons, at one point i couldn't keep my eyes off her, now i hardly even see her, and when i do she's not really giving.. i know she's older now and a freshman so maybe her mind is elsewhere... idk i just dont see that faith that was extra with every move and facials on 1000
