"Learning to Fly" same concert. Actually the entire concert is on KZfaq AND because you LOVE Pink Floyd so much, I think maybe you should watch it, lose yourself in the show, forget it was dang near 30 years ago! I love them to, longer than you are old (I am 70). Looking forward to the next one. Stay safe. Peace.

Learning to Fly is stunning! This entire concert is one of the greatest in the history of mankind, in my humble opinion. My Dad used to sing Pink Floyd lyrics to me instead of nursery rhymes, so I'm a fellow Floyd nut haha! (I'm 41, so I understand your love of them completely 😊)

Its good to see your reactions, I am 64 years old and I have been listening to pink floyd for over 50 years. I have seen them in concert 5 times including the PULSE concert at Earl Court. Seeing and hearing a show like this is an experience that stays with you for life. Who is there today that could put on a show like this?.

Pink Floyd is an English rock band formed in London in 1964. They became a leading band of the progressive rock genre. They are one of the best-selling music artists of all time. "Wish You Were Here", "The Dark Side Of The Moon" & "The Wall" are among the best-selling albums of all time. They have a huge library of music. Some of their big hits were "See Emily Play", "Money", "Another Brick In The Wall, Part 2", "Not Now John", "On The Turning Away", "Shine On You Crazy Diamond", "Comfortably Numb", "Wish You Were Here" & "High Hopes".

Can you imagine growing up with this music and other great bands or artists from the 70’s and 80’s? We were spoiled and took the music for granted and learned that we were so fortunate & it’s sad that the current music took such a drastic avenue that is not enjoyable or soothing to ones ears. Love this band and your reactions. Thanks for sharing.

Nice reaction. Try and cover “Echoes”, which is like 15-20 minutes long. It’s from my favorite album, Meddle (which someone else mentions in these comments, and suggests the opening instrumental piece on that album “One Of The Days”). “Echoes” takes us on a journey and is my favorite piece of music by Pink Floyd. And I was a huge fan of them back in the day. I had every album by them and saw them multiple times in concert. But for me, Meddle (which was two albums before their huge giant hit break-out album Dark Side of the Moon), is as good as it gets.

I love this live version of 'Another Brick in the Wall.' This song was a big radio hit for them off of 'The Wall' album in 1979. Here is some background information on the meaning of the song, if you're interested: '"Another Brick in the Wall" is a three-part composition on Pink Floyd's 1979 rock opera The Wall, written by bassist Roger Waters. "Part 2", a protest song against corporal punishment, and rigid and abusive schooling, features a children's choir. At the suggestion of producer Bob Ezrin, Pink Floyd added elements of disco.' On the Pulse version you just watched, the second guitarist is Tim Renwick, who does an awesome solo (he is not a member of Pink Floyd). He also does a great solo on the Pulse version of the song 'Learning to Fly, which I also recommend you react to; the whole Pulse concert is amazing!

It is fun watching you discover this amazing group. I remember when Dark Side of the Moon was released and all I could say was “Who are these guys!?!” From that moment on I was a fan of the truly unique music these guys put out on a consistent basis. They are truly amazing. I should tell you about the interview I heard after The Wall was released. The depth of meaning behind that album is difficult to wrap your head around. There will never be another band like Pink Floyd and I truly enjoy watching you experiencing their unique form of musical magic!

This song is ice cold, my friend. When I was just little, my grandma and I used to shout out, "Hey! Teacher! Leave them kids alone!". A-D-O-Double G, here's what you need to do. My friend, you must do "Echoes " live in Pompeii 1971 and then the same song live in Danske Poland in the 1990s or 2000's! It was the last time David Gilmore and organist Richard Wright had played it together before Richard died of cancer! BOTH versions are phenomenal !

Pink Floyd is in a category all of their own. I was at the San Diego show of Pulse. Best show ever! BTW, my favorite song is Two Suns in the Sunset, which you won't hear too many people mention. But, if you haven't noticed yet, Floyd really makes albums, not standalone songs. You don't hear too many fans say play song whatever, and then switch to another band. The songs flow together as one, you typical play the whole album at a time. Which, Two Suns in the Sunset is one of the few that doesn't flow and stands by itself.

Saw this concert 5 times. The helicopter sound at outdoor concert made people look up as the move the sound ( 200,000 of watts 128 wireless speakers) around the stadium. Next song " keep talking" intro by Stephen Hawking". A song from 1971 that put the Floyd on the map.perform for the last time do to passing of Rick Wright ( keyboards). David Gilmour " live at Gdansk" " Echoes" 24 minutes long of pure genius. The beginning and end who will hear Dave and Rick talking back and forth to each other with their instruments. ( 2 main guys that wrote it.)

I think to truely begin to understand Pink Floyd, you need to start doing album reviews by them. A good starting point would be The Dark Side Of The Moon album. Do side A and then side B. Then Animals, Wish You Were Here, The Wall and then The Final Cut to name but a few. Pink Floyd did not make singles like most other bands...they made concept albums and all of them tell a story. I always suggest that you always have the lyrics drawn up as they are always very deep and meaningful.

That lot of people that you noticed sold out that same venue 15 nights in a row! When people hear they're going to put on a show people show up! You want to see something completely different with no people checkout the song "Echoes" Pink Floyd live in Pompeii 1972!! You get to see them when they were in their twenties with Rodger Waters, their bass player and main lyricist! Then you'll have David Gilmour lead guitar and singer, Rick Wright on the keyboards who also sings and Nick Mason the drummer! This is their by far most popular lineup!! So again "Echoes" live in Pompeii 1972! It's the song where they figured out what they wanted to sound like and the direction they went after 1972!!

Great reaction Bruh! Pink Floyd is legendary, and David Gilmour is an international treasure. No other band does what Pink Floyd does, and their fans love it. Just look at that crowd, they're not screaming, jumping up and down, dancing in the aisles. No, they're sitting in their seats, calmly, almost motionless, taking in the incredible music and light/lazar show. No doubt mesmerized at what they are seeing and hearing.

I went to see Pink Floyd in Orlando around '88 - rained like hell and we "ran like hell," ha ha - were so soaked, we left early. My favorite groups seem to follow along with many reactors, guess because they were a lot of people's favorites! Journey, Rush, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Led Zep...had the velvet poster of Jim Morrison, even walked through Paris for hours to see his gravesite. Have a good one! I'd like to see people give their Top 5 out of curiosity. I have a fav. hair band, "Cinderella." Grunge is harder...I liked early 90s alt rock/grunge a lot...still do. Green Day, Smashing Pumpkins, The Offspring, Jane's Addiction...anyway, have a good one!
