The center of the Earth is no longer rotating. There are disasters all across the world, such as strange behavior by animals and enormous thunderstorms. Dr. Josh Keyes and his five-person team descend to the center in an attempt to detonate a nuclear bomb, fearing that if they fail, civilization will end.
