We walk downtown and see the old Parkbräu beer brewery slated for demolition and have delicious apple and cherry strudels. Gerald gets verklempt as we walk to the car to drive back to Trier. Auf Wiedersehen, Zweibrücken.

So much of my time was spent walking from French Housing where we lived to Base Housing and Kreuzberg Housing to hang with friends!

Omgosh! Thank you for this video of the fussganger zone & the Alexander Kirche! Yes, I went to my brother’s graduation ceremony the night before in 1984! I can’t wait to show my kids where their mom used to shop as a teenager 😂 & show my mom & my siblings this video! My brother can show his kids the church too!

My husband was stationed at ZAB 85-87 and I actually worked at the Bavarian Inn/ Bowling center part time. Did you ever know the manager John? I made so many good friends and cried like a baby the day we had to leave 😢 thanks for sharing this ❤

OK obviously my favorite episode! Jerry you did get my old apartment correct (used to be 7-A-1) and just an fyi you did go to the green shack (in fact I think we saw Jenny there!). Just a fantastic episode I hope there is at least one more left if not two! I don't know what Heidi, the kids, and I will watch when this is over!!! And thanks for the shout out....I'm coming for you Sweet Carol"! :)

I must've been so traumatized to see my sister at the Green Shack that I blocked out the memory! :) All I remember is Apfel Schnapps in the vicinity of the Green Shack...Glad you guys enjoyed it!! And you were spot on about the water works at the end. So many memories there...

I cried too, Jerry. My brother left in 1984 for college too, so you must’ve been in the same class. We left in fall of 1985.😭
