💭 It's always a treat to ride new motorcycles ESPECIALLY a motorcycle similar to a V-Rod Muscle. The New 2022 Harley Nightster may not be the Bronx that may wanted, but it definitely improves on what Sportster and V-Rod started. I was lucky to ride Nightster with fellow creators and Harley Davidson engineers to really find out how this motorcycle performs.

Hi Brandon, you have two of my favourite bikes. Unfortunately the V-Rod is financially impossible to purchase here in Australia, however the 109's are plentiful and not as expensive as the V-Rod, which are in the $20-30,000. My friends have bought the Victory Cruisers which looks like massive armchairs on wheels. You're living the dream mate. Happy riding. Keep safe.

I own the Nightster and yes it is a great bike. It had some initial no start problems caused by defective handlebar control modules. New modules and an ECU update corrected the problem. My only complaints are the SPORT mode is too abrupt (I now ride in ROAD mode) and in order to replace the spark plugs it is a 2.25 service hour job to remove the fake tank, air filter and the cylinder heads to gain access to the spark plugs. Hopefully, Harley Davidson will have an iridium plug available as this procedure is a definite budget buster.

I like the new technology going into the bikes, but I still like the Vrod better. I like the look of dual disc breaks up front not one. I've looked at the Sportser S but like the Vrod when they first came out. So I'm happy with the Vrod now that I finally got one. Be cool to upgrade some if the new tech into it, but its fine the way it is. Great review.

I put in a request to try out the sportster s at my dealership, after waiting a whole week I finally got like 3 emails from the same place which just put me off so hard lol. They wanted me to call, and attached website links for trade in value estimates… credit approval… and financing. That same week I put in a request at Indian for a scout, got a response the very next day and then a test ride with no strings attached the day after that! Hopefully I get a chance to get on one of those sportsters at motorcycle event tho, looks like a blast

The Rogue 60 is the bike that sings to me. I dont even want the full size motor scout, just the 60 cuz it's just right for me. The wheels, handlebars and light scowl just make the bike look and feel exactly how I want. I will add a usb charger, led headlight and some Dean speed rampage pipes with quiet baffles and be set to ride off into freedom. I am 39 and my dad getting cancer and dog of 16 years dying really put life into perspective for me and made me realize we only have 1 life and it's short. Scout is more comfortable in the seating but the suspension is better on Nightster. Power delivery feels like more is there on Nightster too. Scout feels more comfortable on a longer rider. Apart from Harley and Indian the TVS owned Nortons are really good with top handling and a great engine and handling. They however should have put on nissin brake calipers and showa suspension and made it £2500 cheaper.

I had a 1996 triumph Daytona. Lots of low down torque and economical below 5000 rpm. It had nissin brakes. They're very good and that's before ABS and rider aids. It teaches how to ride in a smooth, controlled way.

@@BrandonBicasso yeah but it looks like one continuous seat so it will be stuck underneath tied down luggage...?
@BrandonBicasso
@BrandonBicasso 2 жыл бұрын
It’s a solo seat on Nightster. Doesn’t have a passenger seat. On the Vrod, the seats are separate so when you lift the rider seat, the passenger seat is still stationary. So when you lift it to access the tank, any luggage on the passenger seat doesn’t move.

Notice how Harley keeps taking from the VROD and adding it to their new bikes . The new sportsters can definitely be straight up HOTRODS. Take the headlight and small fairing off of the new BREAKOUT and mount it to this bike ......... It would look good .

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like this Nightster's main competition would be Indian Scout Rogue. How would you say those two compare? Keep up the good work man!!
@BrandonBicasso
@BrandonBicasso 2 жыл бұрын
Not wrong at all. Rebel is in there too along with Ducati Scrambler. Someone else asked and I said suspension is better on Nightster. Tech package of course but you’re paying more without considering all the customizations that will be available. Rogue feels better on longer rides and that motor is great too. Nightster feels faster and the higher redline and weight advantage makes it hella quick. I’d be torn on which one to pick money aside because they have pros/cons the other doesn’t. More people fit on Rogue out the box too.

I just picked one up last weekend. Did you notice the excessive heat coming off the bike? I’ve ridden both the sportster s and pan am, but I was unprepared for how hot the Nightster gets. My only guess is having the tank underneath the seat creates a heat dissipation problem with no gas tank over the cylinder heads. What are your thoughts?
@BrandonBicasso

I didn’t have any issue with the heat this time. Maybe because we weren’t sitting still long enough.

@@BrandonBicasso very weird. There’s a small Facebook group of those of us who got the first batch of Nightsters and we universally have experienced the heat issue. This is my fourth bike and I’ve never experienced heat like this. You can literally feel it on your face standing next to it.After riding it for the first time, I was worried they didn’t fill the radiator lol. Turns out no… it’s a known trade off. No reviewers noticed it which is strange.

Anywho, for those out there considering this bike. It’s definitely on the hot side and if you live in traffic or in the city, on a hot day, the engine heat may be a show stopper.

I’m very vocal about that sort of thing like on Scout Bobber/Rogue but could’ve been the area and the temps playing a factor too. I’ll keep a look out for that.

@@BrandonBicasso yeah from what I gather from the other videos, I think it was like 65-70 and breezy during the press launch. A much different environment than a 90 degree humid day stuck in traffic. I’m sure I’ll get used to it and I’m sure it’s not any hotter than a 600 cc sport bike. And perhaps my experience and those of other early adopters were of cooler running machines and it seems hot by contrast. But it is hot nonetheless :)

@@BrandonBicasso they will try and make some news first . Like with adventure segments and make some news with the likes of sportster S on performance and updated tech . They will introduce something of the kind of MT07 ( Bronx 675). I’m not sure if Pan America 975 ( many are talking about)will be a good move as it will dig into the same make of Pan Am 1250( in international market a PanAm 975 will help especially because of the price and different road and terrain conditions). The trends shows HD should concentrate on something like a fun bike ( super Moto).
