Stuart is the one who married claudia back in season1. Back when ted wanted to invite someone to their wedding and almost broke them up. Same couple

@@VeeAllar738 The other guy is also one of Marshal's college friends that was at the party in the "Ted Mosby, architect" episode. This show makes a very good job with continuity regarding side characters.

the fact that barney is the one that brought lily back to new york and made her want marshal back makes me cry. I think it makes her reappearance in season 2 make more sense especially with her expectation that they could get back together. This is the start of barney becoming an actual character. Unlike joey who gets dumber, barney grows a lot in this show all the characters do

@@YanaPetruk Yes but there's a good explanation for why that happens and if you watch the alt version a lot less of that development is lost. The reason the characters are basically reverted to their s1 counterparts in the original ending is because the show shot its ending with the kids back in S1/2. It means the show was locked in from the beginning. HIMYM wasnt meant to have so many seasons with so much development with the characters we got more than we could or the creators could have dreamed. The issue though is the ending should have naturally changed but they couldnt because of the way the show was filmed. It really sucks but 1. We have a better ending most people consider to be the real ending cuz it fits the theme of the show better and 2. Its impossible to ruin everything that comes before the ending of a show with just the ending. Yes can leave a sour taste in your mouth but just dont watch S9 then. Personally i love the alt take and while i dont like how robin and barneys characters are left in the series to me it doesnt undo everything

Fun fact for anyone who's ever seen the suite life on deck, the stripper at Marshalls bachelor party is Miss Tutwiler, at least I think she is, sounds and looks the same to me ,but I'm visually impaired so I could be wrong, but if so, then that's kind of a really disturbing thing to think about from your childhood, especially depending on which version of her you saw first.

@@watadam1992 Spoilers Ted is in love with Robin, even at this point of his life. Barney and Robin got into a serious relationship for a while there (I think they got married?).

Barney always being nice but he don't show it. Like that one episode when Barney and Marshall pick up women and keep on taking them because of Lily y'all gotta pay attention. Yeah, he don't want to show it, but he do nice stuff, yeah, I just no want to see it.
