I think this is the 5th story in a couple of weeks where the enemy flagship is boarded and the admiral or emperor or leader engages in hand-to-hand combat with a human leader before being taken prisoner. Most other elements of the stories are the same, essentially just re-skinning the same thing with new names and slightly different details.

Wait a minute. Reyes was already a Captain. How could Admiral Graves promote him again to Captain? Makes no sense...AI voice out of sync with text. I hate these kind of flawed short stories. But, how else am I to see the ending, if there is one?

Glad to know I wasn't the only one. At best, Graves should've at least promoted Reyes to commodore or a low-ranking admiral at the very least. Or maybe have Reyes start out as an exo who then takes over command when the captain somehow gets knocked out early in the fight. 🤔

Captain is both a rank of officer and it is also the highest command post on a ship. This means you can be a ship captain but not have the rank of captain as an individual officer.

Captain can be a title or a rank Can Being command with ship And call captain And not have the captain's rank Examples In the US navy The commander of minesweeper Might only be a lieutenant commander Or a commander But is still called captain Same with the lateral combat ship

But at least this time, we are spared the imagery of scaled, reptilian fingers, their tips adorned with razor-sharp talons, tearing to shreds the armrests of the enemy fleet commander as his crew attempted in vain to ward off the human boarding party whose heavily armored battle suits shrugged off the futile attempts of their scaly enemies. “I’m not dead yet!” the enemy commander shouted, only to have the humans reply “Oh, shut up, you will be soon!”

Funny, in one sentence the "valiant" is watching as the enemy fleet approaches and in the next the battle is already raging. And that was just the first of so many errors in this story. Wonder why it got so many upvotes.

Also improve the vocabulary of your AI. It needs to learn more words. I'm getting tired of the AI using the wrong word(s) e.g. pour and pore are not different words with the same meaning.

I like these stories, but there are some limits to credibility and they repeat themselves too much. Can we have a story where the humans do not win or there is a truce or something more likely?.
