I grew up Catholic, questioned it a lot, and decided not to be at 12. I just didn't believe a lot of what they were telling me. Eventually after much trial and error with other Christian sects and western new age, I found Tibetan Buddhism and settled for that for a long time. Then I lived in India, with Kashmiris, where Sufism is inherent in the culture, and helped Afghani refugees, for years. Both taught me much about Islam. So being constantly surrounded by Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism, and other Hindu variants, and 3 different branches of Islam, all mostly on a daily basis, I couldn't help but notice the similarities, which I've been looking into since. Mostly academically through historical data. For example, just now, The story you told of being "kept in the dark" in the garden of Eden, and being liberated from it, reminded me of Siddhartha's upbringing. Very difficult to learn, and so eventually gain true enlightenment and liberation , without adversity. My biggest question now is "Why?" Why did God (or insert own ideology here) do it, knowing it was going to cause a lot of suffering? It really pisses me off sometimes, more on behalf of other sentients than for myself. I have come up with a few theories but have no actual evidence to back them up and I still can't fully wrap my tiny, fallible, human brain around the concept of an eternal universe with no beginning or end, just recycling or Nirvana, as Hindu teachings say, so the creation story you told appeased me somewhat. Makes sense along with the cult of Yahweh apparently merging with the cult of El at some point, for geo-political reasons. I think I was born Hindu/Buddhist AND Gnostic/Sufi and just didn't know it. And here I am at age 56, finding some of the holes in my understanding of what I suspect is the big picture, are covered by yet another religious ideology and lesser known doctrines. And I'm loving every moment of it. Please pardon my ramblings. I'm trying to quit smoking and nibbling after dinner. Writing helps a lot. Keeps the hands busy.

I quit smoking at about 54, and it was very difficult. Kicked like a mule for 9 days. After that, I had to go week by week and had to re-arrange my entire life. It was based around smoking, and smoking was a consideration in everything I did and everywhere I went. After six months, I knew I hade made it and would never go back to tobacco. It's been over 11 years now, and I still think it was one of the best decisions I have made. I felt drawn to a book, The Life and Teachings of Gautama the Buddha, in my early twenties. I stole the book from a library and read it. I understood it. The first thing I did was stop stealing. I began to wander as a homeless monk on and off for a couple years, and eventually wrote a check to the library to repay the loss after getting my feet on solid ground. it was miraculous the way God provided for me, so long as I stayed on this path. I eventually returned to Christianity because I was raised Christian, and my family claimed to be for the most part. I had corrected my errant ways and hoped I could help my family. Christianity had seemed to be a show for me. My parents always took us to church dressed up on Sunday, but they were back to smoking, drinking, and cussing by the time we got home. They were decent people, but our family was dysfunctional. I nearly died of a drug overdose at 17. I pursued Christianity for twenty years as an adult, reading the bible, attending bible studies, tithing, all that stuff. I was on a worship team and wrote Gospel music. I eventually left Christianity out of frustration and disappointment. I learned about many of the denominations. It seemed too shallow and superficial and at times just ridiculous (speaking in tongues, fake laying on of hands, etc.). I studied other world religions, became a yoga instructor and learned a lot about Christianity by learning about the other religions. Whereas the Hindu religion grew organically from India after the Vedic texts, it became evident to me that Christianity was created by Rome for the initial purpose of ending Judaism. Later, Emperor Constantine used it as a means to consolidate the Roman Empire, replacing the many mythologies and Pagan religions with Christ. Even Islam (the Moors) once promulgated the acquisition of wisdom and knowledge, pouring through and translating Greek and Roman knowledge and advancing science and technology. And yet Christianity has always seemed to prefer keeping the masses in the dark and the clergy of the church having the knowledge to read, write, and maintain the scriptures to maintain their power over the masses. The past twenty years of the internet has made the world a smaller place, and it has allowed many to contribute to the process of piecing together a better picture of world history. The Christian Church never mentioned the crusades, the Roman Empire's control through Christianity, or the two one-thousand year long Christian empires of the Holy Romans and the Byzantines. Once I could study world history I began to see a clearer picture of how Christianity came about, and why evangelicals seem to be so far out there. They are accepting second or third or tenth hand knowledge of those who don't know much more than they do. They haven't kept up with the advances in our knowledge and still believe that Columbus discovered America and America was founded as a Christian nation. Now I see Christianity and it's acceptance by many in the US and its leadership positions to be in opposition to the world peace process. They refuse any sort of sharing among the nations or religions and insist upon their vision of Jesus returning to earth and ruling as a king from Jerusalem for a thousand years. I am not kidding. I watched a Calvary Chapel sermon on this a couple of weeks ago in a series on Revelations. Their vision of the future is not unlike the Timothy LaHaye "Left Behind" series, which is sadly the most common view of Revelations in America. Before the Jewish, Christian, and Muslim peoples of the world can ever live together, they will need to stop fighting over whose scriptures are true and who really knows God. The Bahai Faith (175 years old) attempts to bring these three religions together in Baha'u'llah, and believe that God sent messengers to all the populations of the world, including Buddha, Krishna, Zoroaster, and others. Looking at current world events, it seems like a big challenge, one that will require the widespread deconstruction of the scriptures of the Abrahamic religions and a refitting around the Bahai scriptures. Probably more difficult than stopping smoking.

I followed many flavors of Christianity for a while and finally at 42 I found my Pagan roots, specifically Norse and even more specifically Freyja. So many stories passed down throughout humanity. The flood stories may be tied to the end of our first ice age and the melting glaciers covering so many people’s lands. The traumatic stories could be tied to the world’s peoples losing their homes and land to the rising waters. From what I saw it wasn’t a very slow process but was pretty quick. Who knows in the end since the worlds people have basically been playing the biggest telephone game in existence. LOL

The way I see it is that all religion was born out of a way for people to feel like they have control over things they don't, but it always inevitably got choked up by the beliefs and ways of the culture that created it. And, when those cultures became powerful or wealthy often so too did the religious class and ot became yet another kind of chain for just as many as it gave peace to. I sincerely believe that Christianity, Islam & Bhuddism sprang from a sort of desperate defiance of the problems of the old ways, thinking that they were making something better, when all the new ways have just as many problems as the old- maybe even moreso, since these are "conquering religions," who need to constantly move into new places & subjugate them to replace the old. While some conquerors did this, & ancient peoples might have laughed at ways that didn't match their own ways or beliefs, old religions, themselves, didn't do this & the new religion can often be devious, harsh & rely heavily on shaming basic human nature & fear mongering in order to thrive at all. That is their mistake & that is why they are just beginning to die off, today.

It is not a particular religion or church that is important but after expanding your consciousness, one begins to realize you are more than just your body, mind and emotions! It was after I realized my divinity and my sovereignty, then I started receiving revelations, divine messages and brought me to the point of where I come from, that I have a soul, an aspect of God-life in me!

It seems to me that early Christianity was more concerned with ethics and the pursuit of finding one's connection with God and selfless service to the community. What is preached in most evangelical churches today in the US like Christian nationalism, dispensationalism and the prosperity gospel is so far removed from the original teachings
@iamnemoo
@iamnemoo 6 ай бұрын
And imo the original church tried to define what’s necessary to get that connection, like some sort of guide. But I guess got too strict and narrow. Then they split into orthodox and Roman Catholic. And from there a bunch of people who said “my interpretation is better” creating hundred of Protestant denominations that got lost in the details and use rock concerts instead of school worship.

@@stoggsherfnik4569 Whereas most religions go through a period of "blooming" into a more accessible approach to God, one not requiring a priest class and ability to read scripture, Christianity came to end the law of Moses (that God required animal sacrifices to resolve petty grievances). Rather, love one another and do what it good. Simple and available to all. The Jews were relentless, waiting for their messiah, refusing to cooperate with the Greeks or the Jews. They wanted another David to defeat Rime. The Romans just wanted to make things uniform so that they could efficiently run their empire. I believe that they had significant and major influence over the formation of Christian theology and the religion. It worked. They ended paganism and mass converted the entire empire.

@@amyrenee1361 I believe Jesus was saying that his disciples were to treat each other equally. To not regard status or gender or anything that would place one above someone else. That’s why he talked about taking the lowest seat of honor, and why he washed his disciples feet, which was the job for a servant, not a master. It’s quite funny then how quickly his followers left that egalitarian ideal behind and started having bishops and then eventually the pope. Also, regarding natural family, Jesus was quite clear about that you had to let them go, and love him more than anything.

I can't go on. This begins in ignorance of the naming of gospels. Works of literature were named with a translation of the first words of the work, which is usually also the subject. ("In the beginning" becomes the Greek translation, "Genesis." Mark is a Hebrew word which is used in the Old Testament for our first steps in faith--preparation of the heart. Jesus began with 12 disciples/students. Evangelists were sent out and many thousands attended his meetings on the hills. 70 more disciples were called and then "the other 70." The gospel of John represents class notes of one of the most advanced students. So, the gospels are from four different classes of students. The mysteries there cannot be comprehended without "eyes to see" and having already learned the lessons of Mark, Matthew and luke. We are not going to learn much from KZfaq. Faith is a journey. If you have felt the love of God drawing you, make a decision to believe. People believe what they choose. That's why it's called faith. Evidence follows. One day, you will receive your evidence, but not be believed. I could tell you about my evidence. But you really need your own experience. It begins with God talking to you through the Bible. These words were actually "breathed" into the ear and written down. And you can talk to God (prayer.) You will find that God's word is answering your prayer. ▪︎. Get together with others and remember that we are all imperfect.

Sitting down to watch it, I was just entering severe opioid withdrawal (for the last time) & upon watching the first 10-15 minutes, I looked @ the perfectly blue sky… & suddenly entered into a full-blown mystical vision, & nothing has ever been the same.. Since then your content has only gotten BETTER, more professional, & more comprehensive. I absolutely love to see how much you’ve grown. I almost feel like I’m doing it w/ you. You’ve helped cultivate a healthy obsession, & I swear, every time you release a video, it just happens to be extremely relevant to whatever I’ve been studying.. So I usually end up watching it 20+ times!!

I think you understand God somehow wrong. In my opinion God is more like a immense power covering everything we know and dont know. He is the conscious of the universe. Like we have a conscious, the universe does to. Once we die we will be again a part of this universe, like we are when we are alive. This conscious has contacted prophets and chosen ones and has told them his will. I imagine God like this.

I'm a Christian, had a religious experience, and it deepened my understanding of the Epistles. Aslso - I had no experience that Jesus was a deity, only God's love and that the universe is like part of God (like a leg) and also an understanding that our analytical approach to reality and God is like a blanket on something much more real underneath. I recently read "Christianity from the Ground Up" and was amazed by the content of the book as it so much reflected my own experience. A highly recommended read.

There's so much in this, it needs to be viewed or listened to -- by everyone, and multiple times. You really put together a perfect picture, of the complex synergy involved with the development of Christian thought and it's deep connections to other religions, realms, and cultures. Bravo! Seriously, this thing deserves some type of KZfaq Academy Award, if there is such a thing. So well presented, clear, awesome images, perfect music, outstanding editing and pacing! WOW! I asked her "You have been going to church for fifty years and you still don't know who Abraham is? What the hell have they been teaching you?" Then again, my dad never found a sermon that wasn't the perfect opportunity to take a short nap through. To them Christianity was a social function. They called themselves Lutherans and belonged to a club that happened to have a retirement plan called "Heaven". They never read the bible because that's what they paid their pastor to do for them. Yesterday I reread First Corinthians, keeping an open mind and noticing what Paul was actually saying about Jesus of Nazareth as an historical figure. It was clear to me that Paul was not referring to any real person preaching in Galilee, condemned by Pontius Pilot in Jerusalem, crucified dead and buried, then rising from a sealed tomb three days later. Paul mentions nothing about any of that, and that is damning for the existence of an historical Jesus.

YEHOVA Is Our Salvation: (The 144,000 And YEHOVA’S Special Mark;) What Else Does “Sealed” Mean? In Holy Bible Times, People Put A Seal On Something To Show They Owned It. So, When The New Testament Talks About YEHOVA’S Seal, It Is A Word Pic- Ture That Helps Us Understand An Important Truth: “ ‘The ELoHIM Knows Who HIS Own People Are’ ” (2 Timothy 2:19 ). YEHOVA “Writes” HIS NAME On HIS People’s Hearts When HE Pours HIS Spirit On Them (Ephesians 1:13, 14; Ephesians 4:30). That Is What YEHOVA’S Seal Means. In The End Time, YEHOVA Will Put A Seal On HIS People Above Their Eyes To Show That They Obey HIS LAW (Revelation 14:1, 12). YEHOVA’S Seal Is Not A Real Mark. It Is A Word Picture That Shows How YEHOVA’S People “Grow More Loyal To The Truth In Their Minds And Hearts So That Nothing Will Change Them.” At Different Times In History, YEHOVA Tested HIS People’s Loyalty. In The Old Testament, YEHOVA’S People Showed Their Loyalty To YEHOVA By Keeping The HOLY Sabbath (Exodus 31:12-17; Ezekiel 20:12, 20). The Sabbath Also Will Be The Test At The End Of Time That Shows Who Is Loyal To YEHOVA (Revelation 12:17; Revelation 14:12). YEHOVA’S Seal Also Shows Us That YEHOVA Will Protect HIS People From The Seven Last Troubles. “I Revealed MYSELF To Those Who Did Not Ask For ME; I Was Found By Those Who Did Not Seek ME. To A Nation That Did Not Call On MY NAME, I SAID, ‘Here AM I, Here AM I. ‘ ~ Isaiah 65:1 Their Pains Will Increase, Who Prefer Another god. [Because Of Their idolatry]; I Will Not Give Their BLOOD Offerings And I Will Not Take Their Names ON MY LIPS. ~ Psalms 16:4 I Will Destine You To The Sword, And All Of You Shall Bow Down To The Saughter, Because, When I Called, You Did Not Answer; When I Spoke, You Did Not Listen, But You Did What Was Evil In MY EYES And Chose What I Did Not Delight In.” ~ Isaiah 65:12 * Aurora: The Northen Lights: I Beheld Till THE THRONES Were Cast Down, And THE Ancient Of Days DID SIT, WHOSE GARMENT WAS WHITE AS SNOW, And THE HAIR Of HIS HEAD LIKE THE PURE WOOL: HIS THRONE WAS LIKE THE FIERY FLAME, And HIS WHEELS As BURNING FIRE. A Fiery Stream Issued And Came Forth From Before HIM: Thousand Thousands Ministered UNTO HIM, And Ten Thousand Times Ten Thousand Stood BEFORE HIM: The Judgment Was Set, And THE BOOKS WERE OPENED. ~ Daniel 7:9-10 Then The SPIRIT OF ELOHIM Clothed Zechariah The Son Of Jehoiada The Priest, And He Stood Above The People And Said To Them, “THUS SAYS ELOHIM: ‘Why Do You Transgressing THE COMMANDMENTS OF YEHOVA? You Will Never Find Succeed. Because You Rejected YEHOVA , HE Will Also Reject You.’ ” ~ 2 Chronicles 24:20 YEHOVA’S EYES WATCH All The Earth. So That Those Who Follow HIM With A Straight Heart, Will Be Strengthened. ~ 2 Chronicles 16:9 [YEHOVA'S Judgment To The Nations] “Then Tell Them, ‘THIS IS WHAT The YEHOVA Almighty, The ELoHIM Of IsraeL, SAYS: Drink, Get Drunk And Vomit, And Fall To Rise No More Because Of The Sword I WILL SEND Among You.’ But If They Refuse To Take The Cup From Your Hand And Drink, Tell Them, ‘THIS IS WHAT The YEHOVA Almighty SAYS: You Must Drink It! See, I AM Beginning To Bring Disaster On The City That Bears MY NAME, And Will You Indeed Go Unpunished? @@MinisterRedPill I went from baptist to atheist to anti-theist to a chaote-pagan quantum-animist who views gods as egregores, as man made works of art worth understanding and integrating, as the shadows cast by the jungian archetypes on human culture. The gods of various cultures got along fine with various scuffles and the practices of various peoples evolved ethically alongside Philosophy until this one god who was really into genocide and human sacrifice ( read numbers lol ) claimed a monopoly on religion and demanded the followers of all other gods be killed or converted, and for an entire tradition of female scientists to be burned at the stake for hundreds of years, at the same time as convincing people to hate their body and their desires. Religion has really went downhill ever since the blood god took over imo, so my personal spiritual project is to combine a historical approach to the concept of deity with an approach to practice that blends Jungian mythic analysis with nature worship. We either become a symbiotic species or the host body will purge the parasite. Dogmatic materialism and Abrahamicism both reduce Gaia to dead property to plunder and both roads lead to death.

THis may be a surprise to you, but Gnosticism is a natural flow-on from Samaritan, Hellenicist and Herodian streams. And in the Flavian period...the FLAVOR of ChrEstiantity would have been...Gnostic. The elephant in the room here is: which God are you trusting? Which religious leaders are you believing? The problem with believing wholesale in any religious tenet is you have to trust it's the Truth. You have no idea what you've been told is true until you start to question. Even more importantly, who are YOU? knowing thyself is the only key I know of to knowing the truth outside of oneself. I'm no gnostic, nor am I Christian or any other religion, but my spiritual journey is very real. If I don't know who God really is (much less who I am), I guarantee you don't. We are all on a journey of discovery.

University-level would probably avoid distorting existing evidence to fit preconceived ideas: At 31:31 he cites letter of Pliny’s to Trajan, using it as evidence to claim “Ironically this goes against every Christan apologist claim about so-called martyrs who would die for something they know is true, yet these Christians when pressed would worship the image of Emperor Trajan and curse Christ in order to save their lives.” Yet in the same letter, just the sentence before the one which he cites, Phiny writes: “I have taken this course about those who have been brought before me as Christians: I asked them whether they were Christians or not? If they confessed that they were Christians, I asked them again, and a third time, intermixing threatenings with the questions. If they persevered in their confession, I ordered them to be executed”. Phiny himself stated that he executed Christians who did not renounce Christ, irony indeed. It is impossible that he missed that sentence by accident since it is part of the same passage from which he starts to cite Pliny, only intentionally butchering it so it would fit his ideas. By doing such things if you believe that you are agent of Truth who is here to enlighten others, you are deluding yourself, and far worse deluding others who trust you. As with sensationalist newspaper articles so is with such sensationalist KZfaq videos, they distort reality a lot in order to fit it in their preconceived views. If you are looking to learn the “truth” about Early Christianity this channel is not the place for it, nor is the Path towards God through KZfaq. Lets take a walk...FOLLOW ME for a sec! Before Religion became known for what it is today & took the many forms it has you 1st got to understand THEY'RE ALL PREDICATED off the same "RE-TOLD" Stories of Acient Sumeria about the STORY OF CREATION (that tie into the findings & teachings from Zachariah Stichin & even Billy Carson) as the BASE or roots. Then the confusion begins to take place when the ways of life were more closely related amonst the different factions of the Annunaki & descendants that includes East Indians/Dravidians ; and I feel its why Hinduism includes polytheism because its more "honest" stories about the Annunaki that include vsriations of similar accounts of: the Neteru , council or 9 and 24 elders etc. etc. I feel Judaism is FAITH BASED way of life that a reintroduced form of HINDUISM with the idea of Monotheism that still had the MYSTICISM attached to the way of life that (both have roots to the Emerald Tablets & teachings of Thoth) which creates the TORAH but then later on more aspects of Hinduism (by way of Greeks pilgrimages) bring the Philosophical Yogi-influenced teachings that mixed with Roman ideals to then form early ways of CHRISTIANITY (based of Philosophical teachings to obtain enlightening as Christ consciousness) for then the known figure of Yashua tranforms into Zeus/ious to Jesus which was inspired by KRISHNA! Just like Brahma inspired Abraham. Then Islam (IMO) followed as an attempt to CLEAN UP the "magic"/mysticism kabbalic ways tied to Judaism with still acknowledging the monotheism but other forms of adopted ideals of Hinduism. So when you dig deep enough, all while knowing this info is retold over many many times for over hundreds of thousands of years & wit untold & incorrectly told info it should then make a lil better sense!

I had a near death experience in 2012, and had an interaction with ‘the One I never had to read about to know,’ and it was The Cosmic Sophia, who’s name was revealed to me when she asked me two questions, and had a manner about Her which commanded me to answer her questions honestly, even if I didn’t exactly know how I knew the answers. And, it was revealed to me that she is my immaculate wife and Queen, that this world has written down lies about Her lack of piety and faithfulness to me. When she took me, we were rushed to a celestial looking place, an ascendent realm of sort, I can recall her face, the sound of her voice, but just can’t recall exactly what she and I had discussed, and what she told me, it comes in glimpses or visions. This is the world of the Archons, the Formless One and the Nameless Things, the TRUE Traitors against the Orders of the Divine. I kept Her name secret for about nine years, not talking about it or discussing it with others until I felt it was time.

I guess the "you're kidding" commenter believes that you can get your truth across to people by insulting their beliefs and acting arrogant. If your point is to try to assurt the validly of your point, you have lost already. No one listens to someone who disrespects their beliefs. I learned this not from a Pagan, but from a Missionary who went to New Guinea in the 50's to preach to actual Cannibals and Headhunters. Listen and learn, folks. These wise Missionaries *never* ridiculed or criticized these people's heartfelt beliefs. They hunted with them, built nuts with them, and shared stories around the campfire. They calmly said "you believe this, we believe that".The point here is shared. They tried to build a bridge, not put up a wall and feel they are superior and get Brownie points from God. Attitudes like this only drive people away. I'm personally not interested in converting into Evangelical Christianity but for those who claim they are trying to save people it amazing how they don't notice how they are only driving people away God with comments exactly like this.

You can seperate God from religion, and I say everyone should do so. That there is a Creator God, and yes Jesus was his son who died for all humanity. That much is true. But to think the writings in the bible are divine and without error, and how most religions practice a faith that is "do as I say, not as I do" you can see the practicality of what I say. A perfect example is he Catholic church who for hundreds of years from the beginning of the church held Sunday service in Latin, but 99% of the people did not speak or read Latin you can see the problem. Also, Sunday not Monday is the first day of the week, and the calendar used to have 13 months of 28 days each and was based on the moon not the sun. It was late 1700's when there was the change to our new calendar. I have not the reason why, except to screw everybody up. But if you wish to find oneself, and learn about God one must look inward to oneself and connect to their soul. Through your soul are your prayers heard. Just remember to maybe hit the Big Guy up on any day but Sunday as he is a bit overwhelmed on that day. lol Man is all 3 mind, body, and spirit. And all three must be cared for equally to be a full healthy complete person. If you feel there is something out of balance in your life (and hanks to modern world) that imbalance is most likely caused by caring primarily for the body, and not the other two. It's not your fault, it is how we have been taught incorrectly primarily due to religion. You know that voice in your head when you "think"? That's your soul. Listen to it as it is your moral guide in the world and whether you are not following the path God wanted for you, or one in the material world. Which again is the exclusively the body, not mind and spirit. Also understand the 3 have different personalities. Yes you have 3 personalities, not 1, or 2 that work together to make your whole. Remember God kept it simple and for a reason with the 10 Commandments. It's really not hard to follow, just do not covet. Work for want you want and if faithful and live a good life it will come to you. When men covet is when they sin. Now for fun check out Kinesin Proteins. It will blow your mind. And prove to you something everyone asks: Is God real? I'll let you decide. Looking inward will also give you that answer. It is when the soul is cared for, and it is stimulated that it is the soul that heals the body. Just make sure you give the soul the materials to build back what has needs fixed. How do you stimulate the soul, mind and spirit? Music! Which is the only way the soul can be stimulated. Music is so very important. Tesla said if you want to understand the mysteries of the universe think in terms of frequency, vibration, and energy. Music fulfills all 3. Good music, not that stuff they sing at most churches with just an organ. Though a few have figured it out. lol. Now go live a life caring for the world and all in it, especially the animals and natural world. That still is mankind's number one job. Then, go do what you love! Serious. You are allowed to do that believe it or not. At least if you don't live in North Korea anyway. lol! (listening to the "wrong" music in North Korea can get you in front of a firing squad. No lie. So if you don't live their, or any other shitty country, you're already on the right track. Now feel blessed and go live your life!)

@@michaeldeanleonardo4621 I agree. ANY book that spends so much of itself trying to CONVINCE you why it is The Divine Truth, and why it is the ONLY truth, and why it alone should be believed (and even THREATENING YOU if you don't believe it!), should be disregarded as so much dust blowing in the wind. That doesn't mean that there isn't sound ideas in it...even an U.S. Army Field Manual with instructions for a Claymore Mine, that tells you to exercise extreme caution with it, and to assure that you point the appropriate side of the weapon toward the enemy, has SOUND IDEAS in it. But The Truth, THE BIG TRUTH, just IS, and that is ALL it EVER needs to be....The Truth is NOT going to waste one moment trying to convince you or cajole you or THREATEN you into believing it, because The Truth doesn't care one tiny little bit whether you believe it or not, because it is still The Truth either way. Pythagoras means Heart of the Serpent, he was born in Sidon, a fishing Port in Phoenicia. His mother recieved a message from the Oracle of Delphi that he would become a great Leader and Teacher. Sidon means Kingdom of the Fish, and the Essenes, who wrote the Dead Sea scrolls, worshipped Pythagoras. The Sarcophagus of Eschmun III found in Sidon names him as the Widow's Scion, aka Hiram Abiff, the Founder of Freemasonry, of which Tyre was the premier Capital (at least equal to Thebes). In 911BC Rameses II married the Queen of Sidon, home of Jezebel (Daughter or consort of Baal, basically "Queen") founding Neo Assyrian Babylon, an alliance between Egypt and Hiram, father of Jezebel and King of Assyria, and Egypt, forming the Phoenician colonies and building the first Temple of Melqart to commemorate the alliance. The Si in Sidon is the basis of the Latin Exe, or X, and is the basis of the Cross, or Chi Rho that Constantine painted on his shields. Also known as the Cross of Tyre, or Cross of Baal, being Ra-El, or Ba'El. Oddly enough irrational numbers can also be mapped using Euler's number, producing a Templar Cross in the process. This cross can also be seen around the neck of Nimrod in Assyria, and is consistent with the Union Jack, and Solstice Calendar found in the Vatican Shiva Lingam. Shiva is the Hebrew word for 7, their culture also found its way to Japan (via the Phillipines) ultimately becoming Shintoism. It was the Phoenicians who gave their name to the Pole Star, which they used to Navigate the Oceans using the Zodiac, thats what the Antikythera mechanism was for, and with it they wrote the Byblos Baal, what we now call the Bible. The first form of the Bible was written in 325BC and called the Vaticanus Greacus, or Son of the Sacred Serpent, a reference to Sirius, the basis of the Sothic Calendar, which uses a Hexidecimal or base 60 system found in all the Megalithic sites around the world. In the second century AD astronomer Valentinus Vettori transcribed it into a Lunar chart of 13 houses, what we now call the Zodiac. Horoscope means Star Watcher, and the Phoenician word for Saturn, or El, was Israel or El, (Fruit) of Isis and Ra. El is the primary God of the Phoenicians, representing the offspring of Egypt, and his consort Astarte represents the Assyrian half of the alliance. It may be possible to trace lineages and alliances through the naming of gods, which can be traced all the way to Ireland and the Vikings, and to Indonesia and the Americas, even as far away as New Zealand and Australia. It denotes Sirius as Son of Orion and Pleaides, which sits at 33 degrees of the Zodiac. The basis of the Sothic (dir Seth) Calendar of the Egyptians. The New Moon in this position marks Rosh Hashanah, the Egyptian, Celtic, Phoenician, and Assyrian New Year, the first New Moon of September, which is called September because it's the 7th House of the Zodiac, when the Sun is in Ophiuchus. The Phoenix, Benben, or Bennu is the Egyptian word for Heron, a Feathered 'Serpent'. It baptised itself in frankincense and myrrh at BaalBek, and then alights atop the Pyramid, upon the Holy Grail, or Alter of Ra every 630 years to take three days off the calendar during the course of the first New Moon of Nisan, which means "Prince". The Capstone of Pyramids is even called the Benben or Bennu. The Phoenix is found in all religions, which are all Astrological Allegory for the Moon travelling through the Constellations, as a soul migrating from body to body, this is the basis of Joseph Campbell's Monomyth, or the Hero's Journey. The various planets no doubt play their own roles as portents, omens, and aspects, this astrology is the science of the Bronze age, and lasted all the way up to the 20th Century. Resurrection was an early teaching of the Christian Church, and likely relates to the lineage of Kings (The King is Dead, long live the King.) Phoenicians represent the interim step between Egypt and Greece, their artisans and culture exceeding that of the Greeks, who literally adopted the Phoenician Alphabet, which we still use to this day, sounding out words phonetically. Phoenician is aliiterated in Venetian, and Vikings, being Kings of the Sea. The Bennu is the Egyptian Phoenix, to Phoenicians the Hoyle, no different to the traditions of the Etruscans, who saw birds as sacred, just as the Celts. Hebrew and Iber as in Iberia have the same root meaning over, as in overseas, as in those who travel "over the sea." A colony called Iberia also appears on the Eastern shores of the Black Sea, where the same Dolmens and Megalithic culture originating in Ireland and Brittany appeared circa 4500BC. _Phoenician_ means Scions of the Phoenix, the first Bible: Vaticanus Greacus Son of the Sacred Serpent (Prince). Then there's the Essenes, Sons of Light, the Tuatha De Danaan, Sons of Light, Annunaki, Sons of Light, Arthur Pendragon means Arthur Son of the dragon, Chertoff is Russian for "Son of the Devil" and Dracula also means Son of the Dragon, Masons have been known at times to call themselves the "Brotherhood of the Great White Serpent". The Ziggurat of Anu also denotes her as a great white Serpent, while New Grange and the Bru na Boinne in Ireland (4000BC) coated buildings with white quartz to denote the Moon. The Moon itself travels outside the Solar Elliptic by 5 degrees, which means it passes through specific constellations in a serpentine fashion that is always changing, but repeats every 19 years, the time it took to train a Druid or Magi, Magi meaning "Teacher" the Phoenix is also associated with this sacred number 19. The name "Pharoah" means "Great House" or "House of Light" and Cairo used to be called Babel. Pharaoh's themselves wore a hooded crown representing feathers, just as Native American Chiefs, ie the Feathered Serpent, they were also called the Commander in Chief. Aztecs also had Serpent Kings, (Canaan means Serpent Kings, and Sidon was a Son of Canaan, and Great Grandson of Noah) who were called to lead with cunning and guile, being the very virtue by which they claim the title in the first place; but to be seen in public as just and diplomatic. "As wise as Serpents, but gentle as Doves" the old Egyptian flag of an Eagle attacking a Snake is also reflected in the Modern Mexican flag, denoting the Constellations of Serpentis (13th sign of the Zodiac) and Aquila. The dimensions and 12 mathematical constants of the Great Pyramid are also expressed in New Grange, and Stonehenge, as well as in Watson Brake, (2500BC) and Teotihuacan, which correlates to the Phoenician/ Sumerian Hexidecimal system, which is what our modern systems of time are based on. Officially no one knows who invented astrology, the zodiac, navigation by the stars, and time keeping. But whoever built the pyramids, and pioneered the 24hr clock in Egypt 5000 years ago also knew the exact dimensions of the Earth, as well as the speed of light. These calculations can all be made using these Megalithic sites as surveyors use a theodolite. Specifically Teotihuacan, which sits 180 degrees opposite Cairo, and has the exact same footprint. The ideal positions to determine the speed of light using the transit of Venus, by which one can accurately determine Longitude for navigation. Capt cook did the same thing in 1774 when he 'discovered' Easter Island. The only culture that fits the bill was wiped out "not one stone upon the other" by the Romans in 146BC. Tyre, the capital of Phoenicia (israel) sat just offshore from Ur Shalom, City of the New Moon, or City of Peace. The root of the name Jerusalem, and was also seized by Rome in 70AD after a 13 year seige. The gap between is 216 years. Greek Dionysians built the Temple of Solomon (now called the Temple of Melqart) representing the Solar Lunar Metonic Calendar on which this system is based, they also carried mirrors, a practice associated with both the Magi and the Druids as well as Greek and Egyptian scholars, these Mirrors are Astrological charts called "Cycladian Frying Pans" and record the cycles of the planets. The first Temple of Melqart (the Phoenician form of Horus, or Hercules, or Pan, or Thor) representing the 13th Constellation of Ophiuchus or the Serpent Bearer (hence Orphic Serpent worship) had pillars of Emerald and Gold, representing Isis and Osiris. The Jerusalem Temple only took payment in "Shekels of Tyre" a currency minted during the Jewish rebellion against Rome. "Give that which is Ceasar's unto Ceasar" When Alexander sacked Tyre in 332BC they moved to Carthage meaning "New City" or New Jerusalem, where they built a second temple with Pillars of Bronze. Nebuchadnezzar also seiged Tyre for 13 years, taking the City captive in 573BC: the same time as the biblical account of the Jews. And again in 70AD after a three and a half year seige, also consistent with biblical accounts.

Great collection of facts. You have definitely been researching. I wonder about the name Shiva. In Hinduism, Shiva is part of the trilogy of Brahman, Vishnu, Shiva. In Judaism, Shiva is a name for God I believe. I saw it on Jewish temples in LA and wonder about how the two religions share the same name. The number nineteen is a sacred number in Islam. When I discovered the Metonic Cycle of the Sun, Earth and Moon I understood why. The Solar and Lunar clocks reconcile every nineteen years, to the day, to the minute. I also studied the Zodiac and hexadecimal number system and am fascinated by much of the knowledge you have accumulated. The knowledge of the stars, the planets, the circumference of the earth, the origin of the meter and the foot, the sacred numbers, and the language of mathematics is truly fascinating. Much of this knowledge and more is found in ancient Egypt and other neolithic sites around the world. Leave it to the Roman Catholics to replace real knowledge and understanding with a book written in Latin that only they can read and understand. The feathered serpent? Isn't it a fact that birds evolved from dinosaurs, reptiles? They are related in the distant past. It is interesting to study and discover how the Jews, growing up in the midst of the Egyptian, Assyrian, Hittite, Babylonian, Phoenician, and Greek empires have borrowed a lot of their mythology and origin stories. A deep dive into Greece reveals quite a bit about the Bronze Age and prehistoric times. Their mythology and origin stories are fascinating.

@@Scott_works feathered serpent is a reference to the King of the Phoenicians, the Messiah or Seer, who is wise as a serpent and as gentle as a dove. The dove is Columbia, the Goddess of Death and Suffering, aka the Holy Spirit. It also relates to the Pharoah and John the Baptist, specifically the Summer Solstice, and to a white egret or Heron perched upon the back of a dragon (Alligator, etymology of the name is interesting, Alli, Illa, Illiad, Ennead, all references to the 9) So in a sense a feathered serpent is the return of Storks or Egrets that sit upon the backs of gators heralding the flooding of the Nile. It is unlikely that the truth resemble human logic. At least not the whole truth. Our minds are tuned to reality and everything out of its bounds is supernatural. Therefore we can not touch it by any means. Everything "spiritual" taps to archetypes of the human mind. It is barely a glimpse of truth.

Correct and since we are human we can describe and use our own language to point at those archetypes , hence my adjective Christian (not your definition of it). And if we both understand the concepts of archetypes you can understand the elephant analogy often used to describe "God". And if you don't know that analogy, familiarize yourself with it as it is applicable to what we are speaking of, and what I am speaking of when I say "Christian". In the story the elephant does indeed have a rope although the others may disagree, however the one that understands more of the elephant knows...it is indeed an elephant, indeed part of it is ropelike..ie Christian Truth is truth (not your understanding of what I mean ). Now if you have "ears to hear" then you get this, if you don't you don't). also..the elephant has ears too. In other cultures you will hear the elephant described as Islamic Truth, Buddhist Truth etc but the archetype cares not what you or I call it, nor that we describe it in human language which is necessary for communication in a youtube post. Wonderful!. I have been working on a theology that I can understand, and was thrilled to hear in the vid that the early believers believed very closely the understanding that I have come to. I studied the Gnostics ( probably in a superficial haphazard way) because the gospel was just too simple as it was portrayed to me at that time. I have just ordered Mead's book 'Fragments of a Faith Forgotten' about the Gnostics that I had burnt forty years ago in line with the fearful superstitious phobia of the religious institution that I eventually got sucked into for a season of time -ha. My theology is centred around the Most High's desire to have family. The Word, the Logos ((Christ Spirit) was always in His mind, just as the feminine side of His nature ( the Holy Spirit) was as well.( as now is confirmed as Sophia). So in a blooodless creation (as in John's gospel), the Father and "Mother" brought forth the Logos as the only begotten Son. This was the first family. The Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and as a child called Jesus, grew in wisdom, learning from the Logos within him. He was baptised by John and received the Holy Spirit of the Most High from his "Mother" , and at that point became Jesus the Christ.- the Logos - who being the last Adam, being made in the image of his parents, was both male and female, just as the first Adam was before Eve was made ( so that Adam could fully appreciate this side of his character) a companion for him and from him as the start of a larger family---------this is just the start -ha. The Gnostics had a book called Pistis Sophia which means Faith and Wisdom, so Sophia is Wisdom personified. Cheers. 😊

Jews wanted a Messiah to make them a mighty people with the greatest empire the world has ever known worshipping their God. They got a Messiah who may or may not exist or may be an amalgam of several different people making a new religion who worships their God thay conquered most of the earth and wanted all the Jews dead as heretics for most of that time. The Christians wanted Rome to fall and be replaced by the kingdom of heaven. Rome fell- after Christianity pretty much became Rome & they got the Dark Ages.

What I know for sure is that saying the name JESUS out loud to start what I thought would be my final words and prayer made the “Demon Tree”, for lack of any better description, release my chest from it branches up high and the roots that came out of the ground, wrapping around my ankles also released and I ran for my life looking back to see a mean wincing face in the bark of the tree. I never wanted to go back there again….

Very educational ! It helps to open up the subject of the world of humans and their religions. Having spent my first decade and a half believing what my parent's taught me, I see how people, since the beginning of our species, have tried to explain who and where we came from, and assigned various "gods". As a boomer now, I can only say our existence is still a great mystery, and no one has the real and final answer (I don't think we are meant to have one). But "Informant" (Neal?), you are helping to explain how we got here, and for that I thank you.

It's pretty simple, be kind and control your reactions to adversity not question why things are happening to you. We do not know eternity nor the affects of ripples in space time. Your butterfly affect to history is only known and appreciated by those who can read the eternal. Who you touch and who you teach are unknown to you as is their contributions to the cosmos. Everyone and everything matters, good and bad.

I think much of what this guy states misses the fact that the bible openly acknowledges that different churches were regularly deviating from the true teachings of Jesus. In fact the letters of Paul are pretty much all him correcting some of those very those heresies... It is this very fact that lead to the writing down and gathering of the canonical New Testament in order to give people around the Christian world a reference point... Yes there were LOTS of sects in the early church. This is because there were just a relative few believer on the day Jesus was crusified, and there were many many more churches than primary sources. This is to be expected, its not like they had phones and internet in order to call up the disciples and get answers to their questions. If they couldnt remember exactly what was said when one of the original followers planted their church, they often just made up the answer to a question. The fact that there were many deviations doesnt give evidence for the heresies, rather their correction from disciples give evidence for their falsehoods... Another issue here is this guy seems to think because a letter was written (Timothy, but also others), it was rapidly disseminated throughout the Christian world... This is CRAZY talk. We know this because ideas spread at a snails pace back then compared to now. Christians in Rome would have documents that wouldnt make it to Grease (which is just across the a very small sea) for over 100 years at times... Also, lets say you got a letter from Paul (or anyone else). How would you even know that that that letter was important to someone 500+ miles away? You may duplicate it for your followers, but its likely you wouldnt immediately send it to another church, as it was meant for your church. It could be DECADES before someone from your church happened to carry that letter to a church that had never seen it. All this is crazy, the assumptions are based on information traveling extremely fast, and the author here (tho great at looking up things), is viewing the world from a modern perspective...

It is quite gratifying to see at 8:41 that you point out the fact that early Christianity ran the gamut from pagan to Jewish. From what I've read, this was because it pre-dated Jesus and his followers by up to 400 years. When the remnants of Alexander the Great's army returned to Greece, they brought many new ideas, traditions, and spiritual teachings with them. They also brought back Hindu and Buddhist teachers, who began teaching the Greeks."Kristos" in Greek (Krestus in Latin and Christ in English) was the name by which the Greeks knew the Hindu god, Krishna. What could be termed "Krishna-ianity"became a dominant spiritual path in Greece, primarily through the Pythagoreans. A Greek version of Buddhism also became widespread, through both the Stoics and, as I understand it, the Epicurians. As time went on, this "Krishna Consciousness" or "Christ Consciousness" movement spread into the Roman Empire. After the death of Jesus, his teachings were gradually included in the mix, first by the Gnostic, Paul, and later by others in Rome. Eventually the Pauline followers won out politically, and suppressed or destroyed everyone else along with the rest of the pagan religions. It's basically a Hindu/Buddhist/Greco-Roman/gapn religion masquerading as Jewish in origin.

The New Testament tells of competing theologies. The assertion that the first century wasn't all peace and harmony is not really newsworthy. Paul describes those who were sent from the Jerusalem church to destroy his ministry. It was a mess back in the first century. o Paul tells of those who taught that the resurrection had already come. o John tells of those who taught that Jesus hadn't come in the flesh o Peter tells his audience that Paul's writings were on the level of scripture There were a lot of competing theologies in the first century and the New Testament describes a few.

Both the Vedic religions and the Abrahamic religions (aka Zoroastrianism)come from the early Avestan religion of Persia and Vedic religion of India come from the same roots. "...the existence of the two religions, and Zoroastrianism’s inversion of a lot of Vedic material (including gods), shows evidence of an unrecorded but clearly major religious schism in the post-Andronovo phase of the Proto-Indo-Iranian cultures. It might even be why the two distinct language groups exist in the first place."

Minor thing at 1:04:32 Marcion's canon didn't have "Acts", it had the misnomered "Proto-Luke" or Evangelion. It's important to note that the earliest record we have of something resembling Luke is detached from Acts, and saying that Marcion had a version of Luke-Acts suggests that Marcion had a story about the apostles in his Gospel, which he certainly did not.
