Seemed like there was a lot of emotion involved, which is understandable given his time at Arsenal, but also because of how much he has struggled with injuries. It's always good to see academy players do well, regardless of where they end up (as long as it's not against Arsenal). So hope he stays injury free and does well going forward.

Joe Willock was the sacrificial lamb because the money offered was too temping and we were in a difficult moment at that time. Other than that he should still be a Gunner especially because there were more deserving candidates to be shown the exit before he was.

Completely agree! And what's more, the way in which our team has evolved since he left, he has all of the physical and technical attributes to fit into the left 8 role, just a shame he's been so injury laden this season and unable to continue his great form last season!

Sad to see him left, but I guess it's a right decision. It didn't work out for him at Arsenal, but I wish him all the very best. He's only one of the few ex-Arsenal players who scored against us that I felt it's good for him. Well played, Joe.

Probably worst I’ve seen us turn out this season. Not 100% whether that was Arsenal being outstanding or just us being really subpar. Wrote off this season last year, but confident we have a good run next season inshallah

Fair play to him for coming out and doing this interview. He is clearly very emotional, after what has clearly been a difficult time with injury and then making a comeback against his boyhood club. Must have been a big mix of feelings watching the game. But great goal and good to see him back playing. We need a midfield rebuild, could a buy back be on the cards? 🟥⬜

He was never gonna make it at Arsenal. He had a very laid back attitude at Arsenal and he noticably looked distracted in training sessions. Arsenal got good money for a player of his caliber his departure was a good deal and better invested.
