Portugal is the same dumpster as Spain in that aspects. Twice in a month they have featured Brit tourist during news reports for misbehaving. Go to Albufeira and you will eat the words you just said. The Algarve feels like British territory to us Portuguese that is why we stopped holidaying in our own country. Sorry but I do not wish to speak English during my holidays, much less in my own country. Thanks 😅

Just admit no one likes you because you misbehave and act stupid anywhere you go. And quit using the tactic of saying the destinations need you. Guess what, no they don’t as Chinese, Germans and even Russians (when they can travel, of course) pay in cash (and carry a lot more) and leave the place as immaculate as it was before. They also try to speak the language, which you never do. As for my experience I always had bad experiences with Brits and Irish tourists, both are appalling and have no respect for locals. They just want to bring their homeland to their holiday spot which I also don’t quite grasp the reason why. Why would you want Irish breakfast by the sea and not something local? Awful behaviour.

What I see from Italian, French, Spanish and German media is that the EU member states consider Brexit as done and dusted, You should read the book by Stefaan De Rynck, Barbier's special advisor during the Brexit negotiations, entitled "Inside the Deal (How the EU Got Brexit Done)". The EU js content with the TCA and has complied with it since day one, but the UK has postponed the required import controls five times so far. It'll be interesting to see what happens in May 2026 when the TCA comes up for review and audit, not renegotiation. If the UK is still not compliant will the EU have to apply tariffs/sanctions, according to the WTO rules applicable for a non-compliant third country? Brexit has hardly begun to bite yet. Wait till euro clearing migrates from the City. There may be remoaners in the UK and people with rejoin pipe dreams but in the EU those types are conspicuous by their absence. Better an empty house than a bad tenant.

More accommodation for citizens of EU, North American and Middle Eastern states, holiday makers from Asia too. Fewer Brits less violence. It's a win-win for Spain and world tourism.
