Poor Godhand was definitely ahead of it's time AND left to die with barely any marketing IIRC. Also apparently Gene was originally going to be in MvC3 but they replaced him with and also kind of forgotten (though not as much) Amateratsu from Okami.

I’ve never understood the argument of “He’d be too similar to Hulk” the Hulk is like a raging silverback gorilla, the Thing fights like a heavyweight boxer. He’s from Yancy Street, he fought in the military, he’s a bruiser.

@@hasthehighground8560I even think in the comics that is The Thing's "official" gimmick. He might not be the strongest of the "huge guy" characters (e.g. Hulk, Juggernaut, etc.) but he has actual combat training and knows how to fight, which gives him an edge even against physically stronger characters.

Modders went crazy with this game, hats off to them and their hard work. I wont lie, I was a little saddened to see a lot of "Who's Gene" in Max's stream😂 Just like all the others fighters shown off here, his move set is super on point with Capcoms animations in Godhand, great work

@@bichoestranhocomcaudas6543 Here's hoping Capcom is one day inspired by the fan passion for characters/games from Capcom's history that another attempt is made at greenlighting a proper "Capcom All Stars" again in some way. Modder's did so well translating the added character and their respective gameplay into MVC3 even from 3d games, with limited mod tools at that. I hope Capcom see what an amazing roster they have to pull from.

God Hand is a total masterpiece and I am so happy to see him here. What's more, is that he doesn't looks half as hype as he actually is in the og game, don't get the wrong idea people (but he still looks awesome)! God Hand can be easily emulated through PCSX2, and if you don't have time to play then at least listen to the OST, it's SO GOOD. Another problem is that nobody made a proper game movie with all of the cutscenes+proper gameplay showcase so far (some either miss scenes or gameplay is shitty), even Miek Kobe :(( - watch him btw, he makes insane vids! I wish there was a great game movie to recommend for reaction channels.

Magma Dragoon is perfect for MvC idk why Capcom never even attempted to put him in the first place. Even though he's probably gonna be something of an Akuma/Firebrand maybe even Bison mashup, I'm excited to see this play out. Would like to see Slash Beast, or even Slash Man make the cut as well. Because Magma Dragoon was just a Maverick who showed up in one game and wasn't even a major villain. He's popular as heck but not a character you'd see in a official crossover like MvC. It's like asking why Capcom never made Quick Man into a fighter for MvC: he's popular but not that special compared to other Capcom stars. LOL

Characters are bring made with the modders passion in mind, we dont plan on bringing every MvCI character back, Sigma however is in the works, but the rest are not even mentioned yet, literally have to learn modding yourself if you want certain characters.

And B) it’s not been too well received And I mean, come on, he was already a standout Spider-Man with what he could already do, does he really need an electric sword on top of that?

@@V..v..V Yeah, but that could be more tangibly explained, I think what my self and some people dislike (as far as I’ve seen) about Miles’ sword is that it’s just a sword and it doesn’t even make sense how his powers could do that. I know it’s comics, but it seems a bit extra. As for Kaine, Miles can go invisible so I can accept someone else doing it, the stingers are just like wolverine in concept so I can except it, the turning into people is a stretch, but camouflage is something some spiders can do, some I can at least through an “eh” at it. I’m not so much against absurdity since that’s comics in general, but rather that there’s nothing about Miles that can really explain away the sword, at least not permanently.

At this point, we _NEED_ a Marvel vs. Capcom Legacy Collection with *at least*: - X-Men vs. Street Fighter - Marvel Superheroes vs Street Fighter - Marvel vs. Capcom - Marvel vs. Capcom 2 - Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (with all DLC) ...followed by a proper Marvel vs. Capcom 4. Of course it should retain the 3v3 tag team gameplay, massive roster, classic comic book inspired graphics and not the weird graphics they tried with the failed Marvel vs Capcom Infinite, and long term DLC support.

I do honestly feel that UMvC3 should stay as it's own game while The Punisher, X-Men: Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes and Super NES games (Mutant Apocalypse/War of the Gems) will be in the collection instead.

ITS NICE TO SEE GENE GETTING SOME LOVE. The only thing that I think it could be better, is that he could have more of his "power" moves from the god hand roulette, in this trailer he is almost just melee normal attacks.

considering how limited the tools these modders have to work with are it's impressive we've even got *anything* cool. It's basically all re-cycled, re-purposed animations and effects being used to create all new characters, it's mind-blowing that these characters are even passable, much less as good looking as they are.

My only nitpick is Thing calling in Johnny Storm for a super. I know people think doing stuff like that is cool cause its just pulling in more references but I think it pulls away from the character on point. It'll also be weird if/when Human Torch is added as their own character (unless they have each of the F4 calling in another F4 member or something but even then). Other than that though, the whole trailer is sick. Gene finally getting in is awesome and Nero looks amazing. Cant wait for this to finally drop

It's incredible the time these modders put into these characters to make them look so awesome. The possibilities are endless when it comes to the characters that could be added. I don't own this game on Steam, but i had a blast with it back in the day. Keep up the good work modders.

its insane to see how well neros move set translate to a fighting game, i feel every character design by itsuno and his team just begs to be in a fighting game, even tha arisen could be a kick ass fighting game character
