This is just a reskin of the ESRPG (Easy survival rpg) pack on unreal marketplace, which explains why they "have something". From what i can see they changed a few UI elements, the player model, added a temperature text and made some mars looking levels. Maybe they make a good game out of it, nothing wrong with using a game framework. But there is nothing they have showed as of yet that wouldn't be achievable to make in a week or two.

I don't think any of those NFT games are ever meant to be shipped and played. They purposely overpromise to entice people who lack the technical and critical thinking to know that it can't be achieved, grab as much cash as they can from the initial hype, then vanish with the money. If that wasn't true then all these big business experts wouldn't be making the next biggest mmo with a team of 3 amateurs whose game dev experience boils down to writing "hello world" and installing Unity on their PC. I'm surprised these scams are still being pulled tho, I thought we were done with NFTs.

With modern game engines, making a vast empty world is super easy. It's one of those things that used to be hard, so it impresses people who are out of touch, but it's not impressive if you know anything. Making an entire planet you can walk around on is pretty much just a student's exercise these days. So is importing elevation data from a NASA database.

After seeing the gameplay, I'm dubious there will ever be enough players to fill that capsule hotel!

Did no one ever realize why this kind of play to earn is doomed to be a total failure no matter what? I mean sure, the devs make money and the influencers are paid off but how do so many people fall for this obvivous bs? Why the actual *FUCK* would people play a game where it costs money to do virtually anything ever because ALL of the game's world is owned by some person or other and they _all_ want their profits so virtually every action except breathing till cost some money...no wait it's on Mars so actually air ain't free either. This can only possibly end up like the final endgame of microtransactions where you have to earn a lot of money ingame yourself just to play the game at all because almost everything playing the game entails is user created and thus monetized by a myriad of different other players. And ontop of that this entire economy is i the palm of the hands of the devs so every time an update happens the economy may go haywire and players will riot or leave in droves which means the game either fails in a super short time or remains entirely without updates because he devs don't want to screw over the entire economy. And because this is tied to actual money and not only ingame stuff you can bet that there will be class action lawsuits about updates players don't like. And all for what? a shitty game entirely at the mercy not of the devs that make the game but dumbass other players who care about their own experience and this is crypto, about their profits rather than anything else. In the meantime regular games still offer a proper fun experience for buying the game or paying a subscription fee or being free and you pay for regular, optional microtransactions (assuming non shit games) so there is literally no reason to spend the same amount of money for double sized inventory, 3 days of double money and exp gain and 3 fancy pets in some random mmorpg instead of using the same money to buy breakfast, pay your hotel room's fee for the night and take a taxi to your ingame "job" that earns you enough money to keep playing the dumbass play to earn crypto game instead of spending the money on game you actually enjoy. Yeah, this is never ever gonna happen without some truly radical changes.
