This wasn’t made to be realistic I assume but it’s the best real life circuit in trackmania I’ve seen, keeps the fun of the real track but adds in exaggerated elevation changes etc to keep it interesting in the game :)

the reason it's not realistic is it was taken from a karting mod for asseto corsa which was made with more emphasised elevation because it's shorter then the actual track

Elevation changes after Le coumbes are not exagerated. Quite a good track imo. Pouhon downhill seems a bit exagerated, and the Kemmel straight is quite flat irl

This! I would've loved to see a version scaled up to produce similar laptimes as the real thing, though. Would still be different to the original (since these cars are faster), but with a 1:40 lap time you'd allow for much more detail

I just follow Trackmania and never really saw anyone tilting aggressively after making a mistake or after a bug. Maybe tm players just accept those stuff as they come. There is no money at stake, shit just happens, and you learn from it :)

The problem for me is the camber. Spa has loads of negative camber, whereas this recreation fells more like Zandvoort with crazy positive banking. I think this would be an amazing track if it had the negative camber to demand more careful cornering, but as it is it still looks fun.

i felt the same way looking at it initially, but as soon as i remembered how Trackmania's physics behave, a 1:1 creation would be absolutely *miserable* to play. This recreation still looks a lot like spa, and the creative decision gives the player the feeling of being at the version of Spa that would exist in the Trackmania universe. also, this isn't the actual Spa-Francorchamp but is instead based on a karting mod for games like Assetto Corsa called Spa Petitchamps, which looks pretty much the same as this. so it's not really trying to emulate the real Spa in the first place!

Yes.. The track is recognizable and has in principle all the features Spa should have.. But there are differences.. First "Eau Rouge" is too short and maybe a little too steep uphil.. Second the downhill sections are also a bit too much downhill. Third as u mentioned, the corners are "hanging" to the wrong side.. Spa features mainly flat or hanging ( curves and corners, while this track has banked curves

As someone who has memorised spa: Elevation and camber is very dramatic in this version Layout is mostly right The chicanes (les combes and the bus stop) are waaaaaay faster than irl Also the les combes-bruxelles complex is a little wacky in this version As for the grass skip, vettel tried this in canada a few years ago, it didnt end well

Recognizable, i would have done it a bit bigger and exagerate "Eau Rouge" a bit more. Some of the chicanes got lost in translation and the final one, "the bus stop", wich in the real circuit implies full breaking down to 1st gear, in TM is a full speed corner. Overall, from the longest current F1 track, to a short under-a-minute trackmania circuit is good enought. 7/10

This is a port from an Assetto Corsa mod, if Eau Rouge had crazy proportions in a racing sim it would be unpassable by certain cars. If this was actually made for trackmania it'd probably look quite different.

the creator of this map (bmx22c) also ported the nürburgring nordscheife into trackmania. furthermore he also ported the whole spa map into the game . you can find these maps on his tmx profile site

the satellite view is accurate but the track is much more technical when on the ground. its been in gran turismo and other major racing console games, as well as iRacing and AC on PC for a long time.

this is not based off of the ACTUAL Spa-Francorchamps, but a mod made for racing games of a smaller rendition. Hence the Spa-“Petit” champs

It’s a good Trackmania adaptation of Spa, also the name is changed to petitechamps in order to recognize the fact that it’s a much smaller version. The actual lap record for the track is a 1:41.252

3 weeks late, but it's named that because the heights etc are based off of an Assetto Corsa mod of the same name which is basiclly a cartooned version of Spa.

90% certain that this is based on the Assetto Corsa mod "Spa Petit Champs" which is a drastically smaller, more caricaturised version of spa and this seems to have matched with the absurd amount of camber on every corner. Good to see! Edit: can confirm, the track banners are the same!

The spectating thing is something I actually thought about a while ago - they should really add an option to spectate matches - if not all divisions then at least div 1 only. Then mappers taking a spot wouldn't be an issue and if someone wanted to just see how the best players drive they could do that. My concern is how many spectators would the server be able to handle and if it's actually feasible to implement this.

I am gonna give it a 6.5/10. I have driven the track a lot in a racing game, the real uphil has a bend that is a real pain if you don't have perfect lines, and the corner at the end is way more pronounced. Besides that it's not bad, but it could have been better if it were slightly bigger.

fun fact, for a short amount of time F1 had qualifying, where 1 driver would get eliminated with the slowest laptime at that point. They changed that quickly again though because it made no sense in the F1 context with tire degradation, cooldown laps and so on, but the cup reminded me of that and how the concept itself wasnt that bad :D

The editing on this video was pretty good! I like how they cut from the run that secured Wirt the Div 1 spot straight into the Div 1 start. I also like the idea of a pop-up card prompting people to reply in the comments to a question Wirtual poses to his chat. Though I think the black and white looks a bit "abrupt" and unprofessional compared to the relatively smooth/sleek/classy vibe I typically associate with Wirtual's content.

"Fun" fact: The real track is 7 kilometers, meaning a 40 second time would require an average speed of 630 kph. The official lap record by Lewis Hamilton is 1m41s, requiring an average speed of ~247 kph.

Definetly some cuts and reductions, I think t7-9 is simplified (for good reason) and also its waaay smaller bc spa is mondo. Also the final chicane is a lot nastier on the real track.

That uphill section is called Eau rouge and Raidillon. The left handed at the bottom is Eau Rouge and the bend up the hill is Raidillon

The track is not a recreation of the actual Spa Francorchamps circuit in Belgium but instead it is a recreation of the small version of an assetto corsa mod called Spa Petitchamps. The track is not accurate to real life in terms of the bumps, scale and camber but it is very accurate to the Assetto Corsa mod which was mostly created as a meme I think with all irl cars actually taking off and bottoming out on the bumps.

0:20 the "very steep uphill turn" you are talking about is called Eau Rouge and Radillon, Radillon is the exit of Eau Rouge, as in Eau Rouge is at the bottom the little kink left, and Radillon is the kink right and the uphill and the beginning of the straight after that.

For knowledges, the circuit in Belgium is between 2 cities Spa and Francorchamps. On the name in trackmania, there is a pun, because "petit" in french seems small and the circuit here is a lot smaller than the reality (over 7 km in real life)
