Would you try to get your caravan to the tip of Australia when everyone says it's a bad idea?
See how we made it to the Tip, the northernmost part of Australia’s mainland! in this episode we set up camp at Seisia and spend a few days exploring the Tip of Cape York. We set off early driving an awesome 4WD track with plenty of adventurous water crossings and make it to the Tip before the crowds.
We explore historic Somerset Beach and learn the dark history of the Jardine family’s rein over the region, and discover fascinating WW11 history and relics from a tragic 1945 plane crash.
Plus, we give you our tips and best advice for crossing the Jardine River ferry with your full size caravan or big rig.
If you’re dreaming of tackling Cape York and towing your caravan to the tip of Australia, this series will show you how to get yourself and your equipment up and back safely without damage or breaking anything! There’s so much more to this incredible part of Australian than epic 4WD tracks and crazy river crossings, and we’re excited to share the beauty of Cape York with you!
For the next 15 days we’ll be taking in all the Cape York highlights including Iron Range National Park, Weipa, Bramwell Station, the Old Telegraph Track, Gunshot, Palm Creek, the Jardine River Crossing, Seisia, Thursday Island, and of course the Tip of Australia!
Get your hands on our new Cape York eBook and start planning your epic road trip to the Tip of Australia - thefeelgoodfamily.com/product...

I think you are amazing because you have travelled way out of your comfort zone and pushed through. You have done it in a very sensible manner and listened to experienced advice but it still takes courage. Also, it may be that some people are very casual about driving to the tip of far North Queensland but I remember watching the video of your first day on the road four years ago, where Katie was in a state of fear and trembling and Paul kept repeating how green you both were about travelling with a car and caravan. Look how far you have come. I have found your videos to be quite inspiring. Well done!

First went to The Tip with my parents in 1978. We drove across the Jardine River and camped at the Tip where the carpark is now. No sign to mark the top then so we stood on every rocky outcrop to make sure :)

We did he new canopy the Cape in 2017 but left our van at Mt Carbine and took a tent . We are embarking on another lap early next year (from Perth) and thinking we will do the Cape again but this time take our caravan . Loved your trip and wonderful to hear of the success of taking your caravan . By the way , others might need a new Ute for winning the canopy …….we have the Ute ready for the new canopy . Thanks again for a wonderful video .

We had same issue, dont take the van glad we did. We have a Jayco Outback with JTech suspension had no issue other than 1 jam jar lost its lid and Anderson plug came out from vehicle. We took the van all the way to Punsand Bay. As you said you need good ground clearence for the ferry. Note the Gibb River Road is harder.Great videos and content, keep them rolling.

@TheFeelGoodFamily
@TheFeelGoodFamily 9 ай бұрын
No worries and all good to ask these questions. We rolled our 79 late last year. This accident has unfortunately caused some post accident anxiety in Jasper as i rolled the vehicle on his and Katie’s side causing some very heighten emotions at the time. We have fortunately been able to find an amazing (child psychologist) professional that has been helping us work through this with Jasper. So, in short where possible I try my best to take the opportunity to minimise these activities that cause stress to our little Jasper and over time we will grow to do more and make inroads and move forward - we did still do parts of the OTT together as a family and loved it 🙏💙
