Riven is a harder lane so he probably bought it for the extra health and sustain. Getting an extra long sword only gives you a little more damage so Doran’s blade is the best of both worlds. A little bit more damage and sustain.

He just cancelled an auto. If he didn’t cancel it he might’ve actually killed her. He just trying to back up to get minion agro off of him and to reset his positioning, so he ended up cancelling one auto, leading to what looks like him having crazy attack speed.

Riven e's but we never see a shield appear, meaning that the barrel damaged riven the same frame riven got her e shield, we also know from previous fights that riven e shield blocks 90% of the q dmg form earlier fights 30 seconds prior, this lets us know that the sliver of damage to riven health bar isnt an auto attack but actually the excess damage from the barrel after breaking the shield. This is also confirmed that it wasnt an auto attack that damage her as he was locked into the parley animation right b4 riven e'd, meaning if it was an auto attack it would hit riven at minimum a few frames after we would have seen the shield.
