Every one of these old movies even the classics from the thirties and the forties I see scenarios that are "present day" happening! This is not ahead of its time. I am attempting to reply to Daniela. Unfortunately I was put in a position to see the dark side of Brazil that few see. That was more than 20 years ago. Today the U.S. is far more corrupt and full of evil that Brazil does not compare. I am happy to see Brazilian attempting to take their country back, whereas I am very disappointed in the American people. The U.S will fall and become like hell on earth.

Scott Brady -- sometimes an ambivalent hero & sometimes a quasi villain in Westerns & Noirs -- had a lengthy filmography. He was a Brooklyn-born Irishman whose real last name was Tierney. However, his older & younger brothers, Lawrence & Edward, respectively, were also actors. Lawrence Tierney's career career overshadowed both Scott's & Edeard's even though they starred in poverty-row pictures. Lawrence Tierney's roles in "Dillinger," "Born to Kill" & "The Bodyguard" & "The Hoodlum" made him a charismatic screen presence.Tarantino hired him for "Reservoir Dogs" after a long professional dry spell. His chronic alcoholism & legal problems prevented him from working steadily. Raymond Burr, who grew up during the Depression, started in radio & theatre before making his indelible mark in gangster films & film noir as the prototypical villain/mobster, bad husband/father, crooked cop/sherif/businessman as epitomized by his "psychotically reprehensible, complex & pathetic characters" in film noir, & most notably as the murderer in Hitchcock's "Rear Window" in contrast to his popular & appealing role as Perry Mason, which greatly rehabilitated his career & reputation. His portrayal of the ethical, dignified professional lawyer influenced an entire generation of boomers who became lawyers including Supreme Court Justice Kagan. His role as Chief of Detectives, Robert Ironside, paralyzed by a sniper 16:01 and confined to a wheelchair, is the first police procedural to star a policeman with a disability. His lengthy filmography also boasts Westerns, period dramas, horror/adventure films. Seeing this film again made me realize what a solid script, tight editing/directing & lush cinematography enhanced by a talented ensemble cast can accomplish without big name stars.
