First of all I don’t care what the music consists of. Jim Ryser is a selfless man who has been thru more than most and still manages to keep a smile on his face. He makes some great music for several hunting channels , and I don’t mind the goofy ones a bit. If you can’t smile at that song and the one about Ted missing .. you need to step back and appreciate life more. As far as everyone complaining about wanting excellence kill footage every video ... well that’s why a lot of channels don’t put out 1/4 of the videos that THP does. Similar to Dave Owens , they love getting good video .. but love killing turkeys more than that. I appreciate what you guys are doing every step of the way. Zach’s explanation to less kill shots in HD is spot on relatable. And for me , once you kill the turkey the fun is over. I like the videos of scouting , striking out , goofing off , all of it. That’s the purpose of the name the hunting PUBLIC. Problem is a lot of folks are being conditioned to having to have the most expensive everything , everyone wants their own KZfaq channel to show off their hunts , and they’re in the hunting life for all the wrong reasons. Hunting is about family and friends. Great memories and enjoying all of Gods creations. Not $150 Sitka underwear and bragging rights.

Jim Ryser thank you , sir. it’s just confusing to see how support for THP took a small dive from a few videos that broke the mold of the normal “format” were all used to seeing. When in fact , their rise in popularity can be highly credited to the fact that they are breaking the mold from the stereotypical hunting program where everything goes right and success is a guarantee. There’s nothing wrong with those programs ... But on a realistic level , I can much more relate to the struggles and strike outs it takes to earn a harvest. The older I get , the more I have learned to simply enjoy the sunrises and sunsets , and all of the beauty that can be found in between them.

This is my favorite hunting channel because it is so real and what most of us can relate to. Watching the big horn hunts and Alaskan hunts is cool but very few people can actually be able to do hunts like that. This channel is so down to earth and great to watch. I'm hoping you guys can continue and have a great turkey season. I'm going out for the first time as an adult, I'm 24 and only been once as a kid, and I'm gonna try to get it done with the bow. lol we'll see how that goes, but I'm super stoked and can't wait for the next few days till opener. I think it would be great to see some fishing content this summer like cat fishing or bank lining the rivers even. Anyway I'm from Iowa too so its cool to see you guys get out there and get it done! You motivated me to try new things, learn, and get out more. I hope you guys realize the impact you have and the hard work doesn't go unnoticed!

I had 1 do the same thing this past Saturday morning and hung up at 40 yards so I started crawling and closed it 2 about 30 yards and still could not see him but someone had turned their dogs loose and jumped whatever they were running behind me about 50 yards and shut every gobbler up in the county. Great teamwork guys!

I just bought a Woodhaven ninja ghost turkey mouth call excited to get it to practice man I have turkey fever. Here in Missouri youth season is April 4-5 but norm the turkeys ain’t fired up yet. But hate the two week wait in between the two seasons. Thanks for providing some cure for this.Been turkey hunting with my dad(never killed a bird) and me (never killed one) both of us have came super close. I’ve came so close that I had them in the field at about 40 yards trying to see if they would come any closer because I was using a 20 ga at the the time. But it started Raining all the sudden and they ran back were they came from and also about the turkey decoy. I’m kind of scared of using them on public land being because I don’t want to get shot at. Sorry for the long message just wanted to share my experiences with y’all. Great video. Just found your channel the other day and love the turkey hunting series.

Kill shots in video are great, but capturing the strategy is more important. I like to video my own hunts, but if a bird crosses me up and I can't record it, I'm still filling the freezer. Keep up the be great content! This is more representative of public land hunting. I do wonder why you don't use a decoy now and then?

The Hunting Public, try slicing the breast across the grain to about 3/8 inch thick, batter in flour, season with salt and pepper then fry using butter or margarine instead of grease at a very low heat until golden brown. It’s sorta like chicken fingers but far far better and it will be sweet to taste but keep the heat on about 3 out of a 10 where 10 is max. The butter or margarine will burn if you’re not careful. You will not regret trying this recipe. That’s how us Alabama turkey hunters cooks our birds!

Kill shots are irrelevant when the amount of knowledge learned from the video overshadows the need for a kill shot. I’m 30 an have never killed a turkey I’ve had the chance and never really cared enough for bird hunting until watching your guys turkey tour videos and I can honestly say that it’s ignited the fire in me to go out and chase these WV long beards down and get that same feeling you guys have when you mash one. This coming spring season it’s GOING DOWN thank you all for the knowledge and inspiration to go out and do this 👍🏼👍🏼 I was always a deer hunter and fisherman never a turkey hunter BUT THINGS HAVE CHANGED 😂😂

One thing I've learned on my 350 acre farm over the past 20 years, and I ain't no Phillip Culpepper by any means but I've killed a boat load of turkeys. One thing you'll learn as the years go by is that you will have 90% of the Tom's you try to call UPHILL hang up on you. Its wayyyyy easier to call one down a hill than up. You wont call one across a creek either unless hes really wantin her and most of the time he'll be by himself. They fear the unknown, they sit on the edge of the Crest of the hill and desperation gobble to get her to come to them because they cant verify it's a hen. Just a little tip that years of Turkey hunting has taught me. Great vid

Zach going ninja! Nice job, great hunt. Love the video format, as the viewer, don't really need the "kill" shot" as long as the whole content is good. Keep em rollin THP!!

Jim Ryser I’ve been watching your videos. I have a Remington Model 11 20 gauge (Browning auto 5). Your tss video is giving me some inspiration. This is my first year turkey hunting so I’m using my 12 gauge, may switch next year and make some tss

Zach's laying 'em down in 'Bama. Love your channel and your videos. I agree with other comments that i appreciate that you show everything and not just the kills. I also like the way you teach and share tips. Keep up the great work and God bless. Can't wait for MO season to start...got a little more than a week.

Do you EVER gobble? I know there's a certain risk associated with gobbling, but there's a risk involved, too, low crawling thru the thick cover, especially on public land. You can never be 100% sure you're the only ones nearby. I have used the gobble on many occasions, with success, but you have to be dealing with a bird that would rather fight than mate. Thanks for your excellent quality videos. Thanks, too, for making them educational as well as entertaining. Season open here in Virginia on Saturday.
