Hillary Clinton says she’s tired of Bernie Sanders’s campaign lying about her. The only problem is he’s not lying, she is. She’s taken millions from the fossil fuel industry. Cenk Uygur, host of The Young Turks, breaks it down. Tell us what you think in the comment section below.
"But Clinton’s family foundation has accepted millions of dollars directly from major fossil fuel companies - including from those that lobbied her State Department just before the agency approved a controversial pipeline delivering what environmentalists call one of the world’s dirtiest sources of energy. The Clinton Foundation did not respond to International Business Times’ request for comment.
In 2009, the Clinton-led State Department approved a permit for the 400-mile Alberta Clipper pipeline, which is designed to pump up to 450,000 barrels of oil per day from the Canadian oil sands to Wisconsin (where recentpolls show Democratic primary voters are concerned about its impact). According to federal lobbying records reviewed by the IBT, Chevron and ConocoPhillips both lobbied the State Department specifically on the issue of “oil sands” in the immediate months prior to the department's approval, as did a trade association funded by ExxonMobil.”*

If it is her v. Trump, I had convinced myself that I would, extremely reluctantly, vote for her, not campaign, just vote, but whenever I hear her speak it gets harder and harder to support her, if I was in California, I would 100% vote Jill stein in that situation, but, while Michigan typically goes blue, do I want to take the risk of voting for stein? I love my state, we chose Bernie over clinton in the primary, but we have done some stupid ass shit, in 1940 we chose Willkie over FDR.

+Aaron Claeys Hey, I'm from MI too. :) I've had the same struggle for awhile, because Trump is seriously scary. But the more I listen to Hillary, the more I can't stand her. In the words of Kyle from Secular Talk, I have moral red lines that I can't justify crossing. That's where I personally stand, and everyone's moral red lines are different. It's a difficult decision for progressives to decide who to vote for if Bernie isn't elected, and I wouldn't blame you if you do end up voting for Hillary if it comes down to it. I've personally accepted that I'd rather write in Bernie than to vote for someone that doesn't align with my morals.

cenk reminds me of one of my foster fathers. in 1977, we were travelling through america for bicentennial observations and we stopped in this little gas station/restaurant. my foster parents were jewish, but we only kept kosher at home. when we walked into the restaurant, my father said in his loudest, most jewish inflection, "BJ! i smell pork. they are cooking pork in this place, it obviously isnt kosher". for some reason, cenk reminds me of my foster father when he does his hillbilly. almost pee myself every time. i would dearly love to go back in time and walk into that place with cenk. omg

That's a lie, and when I've traveled, Canadians find that very offensive. Because it's not obvious that the "regulations" you pass are nowhere near as tough as they should be. What a racket; keep giving us money and we'll make it look like we're reigning you in, but we'll really pass bills that have enough loopholes and limited oversight so that they don't really affect you. Makes me sick.
