"Argentines have elected far-right outsider Javier Milei, 53, as their new president.
With almost all votes counted, Mr Milei had won close to 56% in the decisive run-off, ahead of his left-wing rival, Sergio Massa, with 44%.
The radical newcomer's victory has been described as "a political earthquake".
It has been welcomed by like-minded politicians such as US ex-President Donald Trump, who said Mr Milei would "Make Argentina Great Again"."

When it comes to the modern day political spectrum, Libertarianism / Minarchism and all the ideologies based on Classical Liberalism are on the far-right side. Extreme right would be Anarcho-Capitalism. People on the right believe that the best outcome for society is achieved when individual rights and civil liberties are paramount and the role - and especially the power - of the government is minimized.

I've watched 1 minute and 16 seconds and already the reporting is so incredibly distorted, this is obvious garbage. For example, the summary conflates multiple government ministries and uses "blow up" to describe dollarization - Over 40% of Argentina's live below the poverty line (up from 8% just 30 years ago) and their inflation is 143%. They want to follow the leads of 11 other countries in switching to the US dollar. The World Bank and the IMF are already on record as supporting the move and have begun preparing to facilitate it. When Zimbabwe did this, it turned their economy around and eventually enabled them to avoid predatory Chinese loans while yielding better environmental stewardship. Socialist policies got Argentina into this mess in the first place. TYT can't tell an honest news story if their lives depended on it.

I am from Perú, I always like you guys but its different in Argentina. 1. For example the ministry of science they have 35000 people the NASA has way less people and don't produce equal to NASA. 2. Here the left was creating state jobs like crazy. 3. All the state television and companies are on red budget. 4 with 40% poverty much of that state jobs are unnecessary 5. The ministry of health desapears, but health is on other ministry with human capital ministry with less people. 6. Argentina is too much regulated and too many taxes, different from US.

I don't think your grasp of what's going on in Argentina nor of the difference between "right-wing" and "libertarian" are very strong. It's absolutely legitimate if you want to send a political message domestically to your US audience, that's freedom of speech, but I really think you're falsely understanding the situation in Argentina as well as libertarianism. Still thank you for caring and reporting any news to the US audience that's outside the regular domestic stuff. It's important for people to care about countries as big and potentially meaningful as Argentina. It matters.

Actually he is on the far-right. Libertarianism is a far-right ideology. When it comes to the modern day political spectrum, Libertarianism / Minarchism and all the ideologies based on Classical Liberalism are on the far-right side. Extreme right would be Anarcho-Capitalism. People on the right believe that the best outcome for society is achieved when individual rights and civil liberties are paramount and the role - and especially the power - of the government is minimized.
