Many pundits say Bernie Sanders hasn’t really been attacked, but has Hillary Clinton really been attacked? Bernie Sanders has tried to stick to the issues. Donald Trump probably won’t. Cenk Uygur, host of The Young Turks, breaks it down. Tell us what you think in the comment section below.
"“About half of voters think former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server was illegal, unethical and is a ‘major problem’ as the Democrat seeks the presidency. According to a new Morning Consult national survey of 2,001 voters, nearly all of them (85 percent) have heard something or a lot about her private email usage - a key issue being raised against her by Republicans as they try to cast her as untrustworthy….Half of voters said Clinton’s use of a private email server was illegal, while more than a quarter of voters (27 percent) weren’t sure if it was legal or not. Just less than a quarter (22 percent) said they believed it was legal. Only 20 percent of voters believed her practice was ethical. Among all voters, 48 percent view the emails as a ‘major problem,’ while 24 percent see it as a minor problem. Just 18 percent of voters said it was no problem at all. But even among Democrats, a quarter of them think it is a major problem for Clinton, compared with 50 percent of self-identified independents and 78 percent of Republicans.””*

The truth is Bernie shouldn't have to bend his integrity because the American people lack the integrity to simply vote for the only candidate that is actually a candidate. He did his part, and if the people still vote for Hillary then they deserve Trump.

I *always* skipped them when they ran in my state. If you watch them through, the Bernie campaign has to pay for them. And I've already watched them all a million times on his official channel. It may only add up to around 18 cents saved for them, but I'll be damned if I drain them of any resource.

Non-American here: Whilst I think Bernie is actually just too nice a guy to sink the boot in, his choice not to is absolutely correct just from a strategy point of view. The facts are there for al to see, and plenty of other people (like Cenk) are only too willing to highlight them. Meantime, Bernie gets the kudos for not fighting dirty.

Again you say that I don't know what I am talking about but don't explain anything as to why PPP is not a valid metric. You're just saying you refuse to acknowledge its use. I mean It'd be more interesting if you explained some of the things where you believe PPP calculations are flawed but all you're saying is "NOPE YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING". I don't make the PPP metrics/studies. Economists compile a list of basket prices and then see how it compares from country to country and how much essential goods one can buy given the conversion rates. I lived in a developing country for 19 years and prices of essential goods are much lower because the available money is also less. Luxury items are usually unaffected by this however. For example cars won't be cheaper necessarily, but when it comes to food or public transportation it is. You can look around at how PPP is calculated and while it certainly is not perfect it demonstrates that you can't translate a US salary to a developing country salary without weighing it.

What about the other arguments? 8:10. When she argues that the report says other secretaries of state did it and the rules for using email were "clarified" after she left office? What does "clarified" even mean? It's either 1. They were put in place after she left, which is a solid argument. Or 2. she only found out about it afterwards. In which case she's still guilty because for every other broke son of a bitch ignorance of the law is not exemption from it. Her position would make it even worse because let's face it, you should be aware of that shit as secretary of state.

I get why Sanders isn't attacking Hillary personally and it only makes me support him more. However, when it comes to the email scandal and her "pivoting" when it comes to the bankruptcy bill and gay marriage, he should've attacked her for it simply because its justified. He wouldn't be lying nor would he be hitting below the belt, these things happened and he should've called her out on them.

I agree 100%. I voted for Bernie. I live in Texas, so it ultimately won't matter. That said, the people have to make sure Trump is not President. If I lived in Ohio, or Pennsylvania, or Florida, I could suck it up and vote for Hillary. Lesser of two evils.

Like I've been saying, your best bet is for the bernie people to come together as a block and petition trump to expand medicare universally to cover everyone. It's called a negotiation. Nice, simple, easy. And make sure we figure out how to pay for it. Trump has already said he's open to taxing the rich more. Trump knows our support can take him over the top.

What difference does it make if a candidate doesn't sling accusations? Aren't all of the media outlets covering these things? We don't need Bernie to point these things out when everyone else does it for him. It wouldn't make any difference whatsoever if Bernie said it, in fact by NOT regurgitating what is being put out into the media, it makes Bernie look like he is more concerned about what he can do for the people if elected rather than wasting words on making other candidates look bad. I really love this approach but perhaps a majority of Americans have been conditioned to expect some kind of bad ass, mean campaigner that is willing to get their hands dirty by sensationalizing debates. I think maybe people would rather debates be like an episode of Jerry Springer than actual, intellectually stimulating conversation and REAL solutions for fixing a broken country. Maybe a majority of America just isn't mature enough to elect the best candidate, and so we have degenerates like Donald Trump running neck and neck with establishment front runners. Something is seriously rotten in America.

I love it when they say Bernie has never been attacked. When i first found out about Bernie they werent even attacking him for being a socialist or communist. They were calling him a fascist and comparing him to Mussolini and other fascist leaders saying he is a National Socialist like them. So yeah "Bernie Sanders has not been attacked" is the biggest lie i've heard. And they called him this stuff a year ago when he was polling less than 20%

Sanders has not been attacked. He's had some negative press, sure. But every aspect of his personal life and life before he was in public office has not even been touched upon. Unfortunately Bernie wont be the nominee, because I would love to see all the dirt on Bernie.

This campaign and the fact that the two presumed candidates are so HATED by the other side, could spell disaster for this country. We are so divided that whichever side loses, I'm not sure the losing side will accept the loss. There may be riots in the street. I'm just saying. This campaign season is all kinds of scary.

Counterargument. If the DnC actually wanted to switch to Sanders, it might pay to wait until literally the last day to make it known, to keep the RnC spending time and money attacking the wrong candidate. Not that I expect that to be the case, but somewhere, deep down, they might be thinking that they're making a mistake. Maybe we can change their minds.

True Sanders dropped the ball on that bank bills question. Surely he could have named at least half a dozen bills she passed or blocked that help the banks. Don't understand how he failed to name some.
