On the diffuser, the red wire is the brake light, the yellow is a running light. The brake light is brighter than the running light. The bfd is working, but the brightness of the brake light over powers it. You could reverse the wiring and it would work. If you want to see the flash then on diffuser: Yellow = dull colour (use this for the brakes) Red = brighter colour (use this for the BFD) The flash at the start is probably just startup checks. Hope this helps

The flashing is probably the car doing it's light checks because you start up the car, check if you can program it out with bimmercode..btw it looks sick as hell 💥👌

I'm running BM3 stage 1 on my N55 M2 and was having crazy wheel spin on the stock MPSS. Switching to MP4S definitely helped. I also flashed the GTS differential tune and M2 comp MDM tune using Thor flasher and I can feel it putting the power down extremely well.

The flashing lights is normal when turn on the engine the ecu send a low voltage to the bulb for test and the led from the after market brake are turn on with low voltage electricity

Hi I love your videos and cars so much so I have a 2015 F30 328i so I just got the same LED fog lights that you had on your F30 and I even coded the same thing on BimmerCode as you did and my fog light stay on when I turn off my car and even lock it is that normal or is there something else I have to code ? I believe the when you are starting the car you are applying the brakes hard hence the flash, give it another try - get someone to be safely distanced from you and do an emergency stop - on most modern cars the brakes would flash on/off consistently until you come off the brakes. I am thinking of getting this for my M2C as well. What did you have to do to get the splitter fit on better in terms of moulding? Just a simple push/force into place? Carbon quality not bad at all, is it 100% carbon?

If you want it to flash when you brake no matter hard or light. You can try to connect both red and yellow to your brake light positive. It is for people didn’t code the BFD feature in BimmerCode

I’m pretty sure the flashing is just a voltage check that the car does for all the light bulbs, had the same pro when I went LEDs for my bulbs , I just went and coded off the voltage testing and it was all good

The Flashing Brake light would work only under hard braking where the Brake Force will kick in. You have to recode the BFD in your Bimmercode.

That blinking when you start the car might just be the car's system checking if the lights are working or not Flickering is normal when you replace a regular halogen bulb with a LED, for example I don't know how that would work with an aftermarket light like that one, but it might be it - since it only happens when you start it

Hey man, just found your channel and its awesome. I have a question for you. I just bought a 2014 428i xdrive and after buying it the guy I bought it from told me it had a jb4 tune on it and that the jb4 is plugged into the obd port. I'm wanting to do some coding using bimmercode and my question is, 1. Does the jb4 thing need to stay plugged in all the time, and 2. If I take it out to plug in the coder plug, will it mess up the tune? I dont know anything about tuning using the jb4 and am not even sure what map it's on or how to know which one I want or how to change it. Hope that's not too much to answer, thanks for any help you can give.

you should be fine by unplug jb4, just dont start the engine do coding in ACC mode but make sure battery has enough juice. )

I'm sure it's been mentioned, but I think it's the car doing a light check because pre LCI is not led tail lights. Try coding it out it might get rid of the flash!

I had the same light its not flashing because its checking the bulbs. You should put the red wire to the day time lights and the yellow on the brake in order to flash. I think you should change red wire with yellow

Nice job man . I have used some black silicone to fill the uneven gaps in carbon . My e92 is alpine white and the black silicone is hardly noticeable between carbon and paint . Keep up great videos .

A Formula 1 racing car led rear light stays on or lit up during in-climate weather and then upon braking it then flashes. They used to not flash and just stayed on.

The car checks the light bulb status on start up. Normal with bmw. What you're seeing is the signal emitted to check the bulbs.

should be just a self test for the light circuit. to makes sure all the lights works for you. is a EUR car thing. because you add on light is LED so it will turn on on low voltage. but your actual brake light need the full 12v or 5v (depends on the bulbs) to turn on.

Swap your taillight brake light bulbs to LED and then FDL code those lights to be LED (in Bimmercode)

BMW has a circuit sort detection (Install relay may work), Tapping into brake light wires will not work. The light may stay dim or not even ON at all (after a couple drive due to this detection). Same scenario with the Mercedes. Ahmed comment is also right.
