Amazing. Most impressive part to me is not hyperfocusing on being wronged by the shop and staying productive. I would've really struggled to do that. Car looks great, excited to see it after the painting.

The parts you bought from Ebay were probably stolen from someone else's car. Here in the UK it's a major problem. Gangs drive around at night and remove body panels such as bolt-on front wings and other spares from parked up vehicles. Not just exotica but Vauxhall Corsa's and similar. Look forward to a proper drive. Is there anywhere you can legally exceed 55mph?

Most of what I purchased came from exotic salvage dismantlers that buy their cars from the same auction that I bought mine from. (Or yes I bought stolen parts). In the US the major crime is stealing catalytic converters. Part of me wishing mine would get stolen so we can straight pipe this thing!

I'm on the fence about whether the panel pirate 'stole' your parts. He's dealing with the insurers and would have documented how much of the car was going to be presented at the auction, unless I'm missing something here.
