See I've always preferred bats with slightly thinner handles, for me they just feel more comfortable in the hand, is there a way around having a slightly thinner handle and still having that strength at the shoulder?

Well good quality handles will always be a touch stiffer for sure but once again a flexible handle is not of any benefit in any way
