@@kevinair7669 not in my experience with any cops in the probably 20-30 times ive had to talk to them for reports and being pulled over and shit. And the majority of those were when I didn't live in middle class neighborhoods so by all means should've been bad cops. And I realize it's anecdotal but there's no way the average cop acts like this especially since I lived in a low income gang neighborhood in the city for most my life until i became an adult.

yup, dude played Bayo in 3.0 and now is a captain and Ruth is played by rper who played Aurora in 3.0, another W cop. The same people are in charge as before, pd in 4.0 is going to end up the same as 3.0 when it's the same people they are promoting/leading. heck, the captains were talking about promotions and names like Rhodes and Maple came up, more W cops

Having your client repeat testimony when they aren't legally bound to do so is usually a mistake. All it does is give the other side a chance to trip them up, this meeting was a text book example of it. Let them read the statement already on record and stand behind that. Ramee basically let his client be cross examined when he didn't have to.

Yep. Demonstrated exactly why you don't do that.. he got alot of it wrong, made statements he shouldn't have, admitted to things he shouldn't have, etc. Probably unironically made the cops suspicious of what actually happened lol then again Ramee was doing other dumbshit besides just letting his client talk.

I completely agree. I wonder how much of this is just RP doing what RP does. Interaction is sorta the name of the game. I wholly agree though that allowing cops to question your client is a terrible legal move. Having a meeting with them is perfectly fine, but unless your client desperately wants to be there, tell them to stay far far away and you'll let them know the outcome.

Even if the cops are writing bad reports the brass can't be like "yeah our cops suck" to Ramee. There needs to be a lawyer that is appointed to defend officers accused of misconduct. I feel that would take a lot of the ego out of these situations.

All the captains have different personalities, it makes for good roleplay. Slacks is more laid back, Turner is try hard, Ruth is in the middle.

So let me get this straight.... The police can do what they want to someone and have zero reproductions for it? They get suspended. Then the tax player has to pay for their mistake? So in theory if you do commit crime in the city you get charged and if you don't commit crime you get charged anyway? I know that's the case in real life but in the city the officers involved should pay for what they have done wrong just like everyone else's has to!

It's called Qualified Immunity in real life. Basically if it's something that another cop would reasonably think to do in your place, you can't have any real repercussions for it.. If it is totally out of the blue, technically they can be sued into the ground. Just get a good lawyer who knows that.

That interaction even annoyed me and I have no stakes in this case. The gaslighting was insane. Why defend your officers tooth and nail in a civil case that was already determined the officers were in the wrong. The officers did not care about the civilians well being and only sought to rid themselves of all wrong doing. This is very similar to real life police civil cases, and is why there is a wedge between the police and their communities

Turner on some bs. He literally sat there and questioned your client like he was talking to someone on a witness stand. Then he acts like he's doing nothing wrong. He needs to be removed from chief or moved to IA. He's a waste of breath to speak to about anything. Even if he did spit on the officer. They didnt immediately restrain him. Implicating they didnt deem him a treat. And later they deployed a taser which could be seen as a form of retaliation for being spat at.

Irl in the US, when a cop miss treats someone you are able to to sue the police department and the officer separately. Realistically Ramee should be able to get a settlement from the PD and the officers for a total of 2 or 3 payouts.

I mean i see everyone over here upset but the real problem is the victim. I watched what happened. He was stopped for no reason just cause he called them pigs. They went to talk and discuss what they should do with him cause they had no probable cause. He went towards the back. Denzel tackled him and mizkif tazed him while he was being tackled. Denzel proceeded to be like no dont do that. They then offered him money. But this idiot cant get his story straight. I seen the video once and i remember more details then this idiot. Thats what is triggering. Not the cops. Not Ramee. The idiot himself.

Ramee needs to learn when to walk away. @@blackpanda418 oh I mean for sure, but he reams the officers personally for these issues and deals with them internally instead of with the public. PD RPers fear when Big Burner Turner says "meet me in my office". His character is very good at the serious no nonsense vs Slacks more laid back open to everyone. It's important to have that balance and different archetypes in a group like PD to keep things from being boring or hive mind. Sorry for the long reply but I'm bored AF at work so I have time to overthink and be an RP frog haha

He literally did get tased my dude lol. If you watch it from Mizkif's POV he clearly tased him, but it scuffed and didn't trigger the animation on Erobb's character to make him twitch/shake. Also, the med report photo taken by Carmella of his injuries literally shows that he had taser prongs in him, which can't be faked/falsified in game.
