In my twenties, I had a doctor everyone called " Three Shot Thompson". One of them was a B12, but the other two would vary depending on your affliction. Would bounce up fast, one of two days is all. Now, what a nightmare! What helps me is hot water and a healthy squirt of lemon juice, and NOTHING else to drink unless swallowing meds. Feel better soon🙏♥️

The last time I was sick like that I was taking Mucinex. The urgent care doctor told me that was what was causing me to continue being sick. I never took mucinex again. The sinus one. They said was making it worse

I know about Cedarhust too. That's where my primary doctor was too. Now that I am in Delaware, I had to find someone else. The urgent care around here won't give you anything for this congestion thing we have. I hope you feel better.

I had rsv, i think you might have it, get tested also for strep throat. Flu is going around also, but get checked for pneumonia. This is dixie from texas.

I had this 2 1/2 months ago. It was awful. I took an antibiotic and prednisone. It did not help I was so congested. I started drinking mint tea and taking Vitamin C, D, Magnesium and zinc. I put vicks on my chest and the bottom of my feet with socks on after. I got rid of it.

Z- pack does work well, especially with Prednisone. Only if the doctor orders those two together. I have Asthma.

I never go out without my mask just in case

I’ve been suffering with sinus still, my doctor appointment isn’t till march, so I’m using Afrin nasal spray, & my arthritis pain medicine. Sorry you’re not feeling well, as a we she, it seems sickness lingers on & on. I’ve had breathing methane fumes since Christmas, thought it was a gas leak, had my septic pumped out on 2/2 but I’m still smelling fumes now and then? Don’t know if breathing that can cause sickness or not but I sure been coughing & lots of mucus. Fingers crossed you feel better soon.

Awww so sorry to hear you are so sick Miss Glenda. I’m not sure how it works over in the USA however here in Australia we have nebulisers. A nebuliser is a machine used to change liquid medication into a vapour that you can inhale. It works by pumping pressurised air through the liquid to form a fine mist, which can then be breathed in through a mask or mouthpiece. So you put nebules of Salbutamol in it. This very much assists with asthma & bronchitis xo

I had the sinus crap for over a month. Finally got to the doctor and within a few days I was so much better. Like you, I tried to fight it on my own for weeks. I should have gone to the doctor sooner. My cat died of pneumonia the same week. I came home that week and fell into my husband's arms and cried, I said" I'm sick and I'm sad". I was whiney and quite pitiful. I hope whatever they put you on works as fast as what my doctor put me on.

I had Bronchitis a month ago for three weeks. I went to Urgent Care and asked them for a steroid shot and steroid dospak. Took a week but it got me better. I had to ask for it. Praying they will give you this and hoping you feel better soon. So sorry you're struggling with this.

Yes a double shot always worked for me when I had tonsilitis years ago. Did your doctor give you like flonase to use so you don't get sick. My daughter always gets like you get and doc gave her flonaze and it keeps her from getting sick like you.

Whatever you were doing probably kept you out of the hospital. Just remember what works for you and make a list for when you go to the doctor. That Augmentin probably was not good for that strain of germ, the Z-Pak probably was the one for that germ. Take your VitD, at least 5,000 units daily with food, (It needs fat to be absorbed) also VitC, maybe 2,000mg daily to start with your multi vitamin and plenty of fluids as you have been doing! When getting over the counter medicines, try to avoid ones that treat multiple symptoms. Better to get something that treats one symptom at a time. Hope you feel better after the Z-Pak! God Bless!

You may want to use "cool" air humidifiers. The cool air will open up airways better than hot or warm air.

Have you seen an endocrinologist? I had my d levels checked and my thyroid years and years ago by an endocrinologist and I had no D so he put me on vitamin D3 and he said I needed to be on B12 sublingual. I was feeling horrible at that time. I am not saying you don't have a respiratory problem. you may have more going on than just one thing.

So sorry you're still feeling so bad. I know when I had really bad bronchitis predisone did usuall help. Hopefully, it will for you, along with the additional breathing med they gave you. I saw in another comment you mentioned that your current primary care doctor is not in your insurance network. Since you need to change anyway, make sure the new doc is. Your company should have sent you a booklet that gives a list of in network docs in your area. If you don't have that, then when you call to make an appointment, ask them first if they're in your insurance network. Don't know what company you use, but with mine, for the last several years, the copay for an in network primary care doc is zero. And they, in turn, will likely send you to in network specialists if you need one. Their copay won't likely be zero, but lower, than out of network one would be. I do hope you start feeling better very soon!!
