Vasak is our youngest cat in the front yard and she's learned lots of things from our older cats over the years. And you'll see one of them in this video. Whenever the lawn mowers arrive at our garden, most of our cats run away and find different hiding spots. At first Vasak used to learn all these hiding spots from our cats one by one, but some time later, she found the best hiding spot ever for herself!

This channel is about the daily lives and adventures of my 3 indoor cats Santi, Indy & Chewie and our 14 outdoor cats and my dog Walter.
Our outdoor cats are living in our garden and their names are D'Artagnan, The Rolling Cat (Princess), The Purring Cat, D'Artagnan's Girlfriend, Porthos, Zoom, Junior, The Mom Cat, The Big Head, Ruzgar, Nope, Pamuk, Pamuk Jr. and Vasak.

I could spend hours and hours watching the kittens. In them you can see the sky and the universe itself through their eyes and they have nothing to complain about because they have a beautiful garden to play in. This was wonderful, especially since our grass is now buried in snow. Because of old pipes i use a filter pitcher on our water but my cat Mo jumped up on the table and started to drink out of the pitcher top. So another pitcher was required, one for me and one for the cats. But over time, first Dusk and then Hansel learned from Mo. Sometimes I have to referee who goes first. And there are multiple water sources in all the rooms, still they want that pitcher.

Look at it this way, they trust your judgement about the safety of drinking from that thing; if it's good enough for you it is good enough for them. How odd though that they do not extend the same logic to the bathtub ...

You can tell Pamuk, Mommy, etc. used to be strays and didn't always live the sheltered life. They know lawn mowers are nothing to be afraid of. Vacuums are different, they didn't encounter those in their previous life.

Actually, Pamuk was a pampered family cat who lived next door but spent most of his days with his best friend here. When the front garden was enclosed, he had to be admitted in the morning and sent home in the evening but the 2 cats were sad apart and eventually the family who had adopted Pamuk extremely kindly let him go live full time in the garden with his friends. He’s just a big confident guy who’s never faced a serious threat in his life and trusts humans to keep him safe.

Oh my. Kitties everywhere. Furball heaven. I had one male & one female. They didn't get along the very best but when the vacuum came out theyd make a b-line down the hallway, knocking into each other racing for the bedroom. The first one usually got the best hiding spot. It was too funny watching them. But did get along when their lives were in danger simultaneously.

Great video, a nice end to my Sunday. It's interesting which cats hide vs. which just retreat to high ground and oversee the progress of the grass cutting from the relative safety of the porch.
