Hey Dani, quick correction to your video: New Zealand has THREE official languages, not two. English, Maori and Sign Language. Technically Maori and Sign Language are the only de jure official languages (i.e. declared by law), English isn't an official language by law, but it is de facto an official language (as in everything, including the laws themselves, is written in English).

Wellington is a great place to visit and is actually my favourite New Zealand city. I used to have relatives living at Island Bay years ago. Do you still have Watties Peaches there? Welcome to Norway.. that is, after the "Mother of all Viruses" has gone-which hopefully is soon. Should you choose to come NOW; you would have to sit ten days in a quaranteen hotel . @@robzul7846 There is a ferry that runs once a day. You arrive in Oslo around 8 in the morning, if I remember correctly. You can get really good prices, depends on the day and the season. Check out DFDS Seaways. Except for that, there are planes between the two capitals almost once every hour. The cheapest option is very often the bus- it takes 8-9 hours, and you can get a o/w ticket for as little as 30 GBP, if you are lucky and if you book in advance. Train is also an option, but you would have to change train in Gothenburg.

If you're living in Auckland, I think it can take hours esp if you're using public transportation. If you live in a town, maybe 5- 10 minutes. Most people have their own car. It's very important to have a license and a car if you want to get anywhere in NZ.

I am from Grover Beach on the central coast of California. One thing that might shock you about living here and maybe throughout the U.S. is the number of HOMELESS people roaming the streets, at the shopping centers with signs begging for money, making trash piles where ever they make their shelters. You don't want to walk up any streams in our area because that's where you'll surely come upon tents. Drug usage the main reason for their situation so if not just plain mentally ill drugged crazies are really scary people to come upon.

Hi. I'm from South Africa. We have the arch rivals of the All Blacks here, the Springboks (lol). So we are also big on rugby here. I think something a lot of people don't understand about South Africa is that there are a LOT of people 'working' everywhere. For instance, at a petrol pump there will be one employee filling your car and another washing your window. When you visit a store there will be one cashier and one person packing your things into your bags and trolley. When you walk out to your car, you will be assisted by a car guard. He/she would have been "looing after your car" while you were shopping and they will offload the groceries from your cart to the car and most likely do some hand gestures behind you as you reverse to give you directions from your parking. I grew up here, so I'm used to always having small change for these kinds of things, but I think to visitors it must be quite strange.

Hello there! I'm from Bangladesh 🇧🇩 a small country beside India. One of me friend went to New Zealand to visit her sister and what she said to me, to be honest I Dont know which part she went but she told me night comes very soon there, as in by 8 or 8:30 pm it's all dark, rarely some shops open and what so far I heard from you. So please tell me is it true. Generally I'm asking to know how's the night life over in New Zealand. I studied me bachelors from Ireland dublin, so if you went to Ireland you know in Dublin night is kinda lively. I'd would like to know how's that over at your place. Ex; pubs, sports, things for fun or to do when free. Etc I'm coming to New Zealand on work permit. I'd really appreciate if you help with these informations. Thank you : )

The sun sets at 9:30 pm during Daylight saving,so long days,Auckland has the best nightlife, but is the most expensive city to live in.Pubs are everywhere, and we are an outdoors country, love our sports and nature.

I presume you would be Muslim being from a Muslim country so I'm surprised you are asking about the nightlife, pubs etc. NZ has electricity so when it gets dark we turn our lights on.

The most disgusting trait I’ve noticed with many foreigners, especially woman, is habit of sitting on tables, usually at barbecues, and social functions, but I must admit once the reasons have been quietly explained to them they seem to get the message and not only comply, but seem eager to inform their mates of the no/no.

I'm curious abut the NZ accent. To my ear it sounds like a somewhat attenuated Aussie accent, where the accent can be broader among many. Then of course there may be regional accents around both countries that may be lost on the rest of us. P.S: The coffee in the U.S. is excellent, because it doesn't come from here. We get it from Sumatra, Columbia, Ethiopia (where it originated) etc. Coffee in America used to be atrocious, but since the advent of true coffee culture beginning in the '70s it has only been steadily improving.
