I'm with you @woodb51 I don't think the majority of people understand satire anymore. Sad, because that is a powerful way to make a point. Jesus taught in parables. I wonder if He ever used satire that is not recorded in scripture. I can imagine Him using it on Peter. Have a blessed day. Really.

@Lucky...no one has to agree with your theology 💯. There are many God fearing Calvinists. I don't agree with OSAS or the 5 points of Calvinism from Baptists, but as long as you believe that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God who was born of a virgin, became man, lived a perfect life, suffered and died on the cross as a perfect sacrifice for our sins and you repent of those sins, ask him into your life and to save you you will be saved. If you keep following Jesus sincerely and keep your relationship with him you don't need to worry about losing your salvation. It is by grace of God we are saved, not of ourselves. But Jesus said to pick up your cross and follow him.

@@TrichelleIvoryIf I remember correctly the author speaks in the devotional as Jesus. Like she says in her own devotional time Jesus told her this……. And then says some stuff and attributes it to being said by Jesus. But it’s not like, just from the Bible. It’s just her saying Jesus said this. Which is problematic in many ways.

This is hilariously true! Even as a Christian I catch thoughts like these slipping in my head (especially as a former New Ager). We need to be discerning and understand that things Satan says can sound alluring. He’s a lot more subtle than we think. Nice job, Melissa!
