I think the thing about Mikan was wrong, well just the first part. She faked her suicide in the hospital, but she made the room look like the music venue(the curtains and ladder). They even mentioned it towards the end of her case.

Complementing what tons of other coments said to explain those: Before everyone woke up in THH, Junko and Mukuro could've easily made the execution grounds for each one of their classmates, and use them as things went on. In DR2, it's a virtual world, so anything goes. In V3, if it's a show, they probably had a massive budged to make massive executions. Also, about Junko's execution, she probably took about 1 second of each execution before getting squished Hope's Peak has so much influence that they get give schoorlaships to anyone they want. The governament was probably "We won't even ask what's up with these kids" The execution in Chapt 5 was meant to be Kiyoko's, but Monokuma changed last minute to make Makoto the killer and he was led to her execution. But if you remember... the world is in ruins. You'd probably be lucky to find any farms with healthy crops remaining, let alone anything remotely sustaining for a comfortable lifestyle!

In Japan, being gay is not really something you can brag about, so it makes sense you would want to keep that a secret if you live there. - Kaito explained right before you start investigating why he didn't log back in the virtual world after being disconnected. He wasn't sure if it was okay or if that would cause problems since Miu didn't give any details about that, so he played it safe by not trying it in case it was a bad thing to do. He didn't know he was manually disconnected. He thought it was a bug or something. Also, even if he had logged back in, he wouldn't have warned the others about the incoming murder since he had no idea about it at all. But if Monokuma hadn't shown this specific thing, Fuyuhiko and Peko wouldn't have done anything to Mahiru. She would not have known about it and would have been to the beach with the others and there wouldn't have been any murder. Also, without all of that, Mahiru and Peko would both be still alive but Fuyuhiko probably would've kept insulting everyone till the end and would never have had his character developement. - What Byakuya did with the evidence in case 2 was not because he was "bored". He was making an experiment. He said it himself : "Thanks to that, I was able to do an interesting experiment. Now I know who I have to watch out for when I do decide to commit a murder." He WAS planning to commit a murder eventually. He did all of that to prepare for it. He ended up not murdering anyone in the end but that's because of Sakura's suicide that changed his mind. He probably would've tried to kill Makoto or Kyoko since they were the only ones in his way and the others were all dumb (except for Celeste, which is why he was very pleased to take her down). As you can see, you said all of that "does not make sense" while it actually does. Even Kiyo's incest thing does make sense if you take the time to really think about it and analyse the information that we have. I will not go into too much detail, so let's just say he was abused by his sister since he was very young and was deeply traumatized by it. That could happen to anyone. I would say a lot of these things are explainable (Especially the Mikan case because it was literally explained during her trial, Juzo being scared to be outed as gay because let's be honest, aside from the US many places still don't accept homosexuality, Nagito's luck IS the thing keeping him going for so long and etc) the thing i just can't understand is how the Remnants of Despair got Junko's body parts as if she wasn't fully crushed in DR1. (if we never saw Nagito's hand and it was only initiated, then I would've guessed that Fuyuhiko for example took his own eye out and just put whatever is leftover from her eye aka mush in the hole and cover it with the eye patch (same with Mikan) but we DID see the hand and it was fully intact so that's very weird.

FR THOUGH HOW DID MIKAN DO ALL THAT SHIT IN 5 MINUTES

A lot of these do make sense but there are some insane plot holes that I really wish should be fixed. 1. Why is Hopes Peak Academy only enlisting Japanese students when it says they scout students worldwide? 2. There is no way Junko alone and the 77th class to be able to destroy the whole world. What would fix both of these plot holes would be saying that there are Hopes Peak Academy chains around the world that at the same time were corrupted by ultimate despairs like Junko and Mukuro. 3. Chiaki is hinted at being alive by Junko in the last trial of chapter 6, yet we see her die during Danganronpa 3 despair arc. The only explanation would be if she was actually alive and saved by Izuru, her AI personality matching her real life personality makes no sense either because she supposedly died before meeting Makoto or Alter Ego. 4. Of course the Ultimate Despairs taking in Junkos body parts make no sense either, Nagitos hand and Fuyuhikos eye may make sense but the others have no explanation other than to add extra edge to the characters. 5. Why was Mukuro resisting Junkos plans when the class trial idea was revealed yet we see her absolutely obedient during Danganronpa 3 despair arc. 6. Izuru shouldn't have luck. 7. I could keep going but I'm ruining the series for myself the more I think about all these inconsistencies

I just imagine an alternate timeline where Junko is literally being bullied because after so long of spying on the students, she now smells like a hobo in the dumpster as well as the dumpster.

Another thing that doesn’t make sense in V3: One of the hints that Kokichi is one of the good guys and Tsumugi is the mastermind is that, in Scrum Debates, Kokichi always agrees with Shuichi while Tsumugi always opposes him, and the first, second, and third class trials show that Kokichi is smart enough to have figured out most, if not all, of the processes behind each murder during the investigation phase alone. However, as shown at 0:53, in the very first Scrum Debate, where you have to prove that Shuichi’s not the culprit, Kokichi and Tsumugi’s alliances are switched for some reason. It doesn’t make sense because Kokichi no doubt already knows it wasn’t Shuichi and Tsumugi is trying to make sure the students don’t figure out it was her, so agreeing that it wasn’t Shuichi indirectly contributed to her getting exposed in Chapter 6.
