A good advice is to have fun Like I have been playing duel links for about 3 years At first I wanted strong cards and strong decks to be a KOG but I forgot that I came here to have fun I came here to play Now I'm collecting characters decks like elemental heros and black luster etc.. bec it's fun to me So collect the cards that you love not the strong one

I’m the same way. When I first started playing I grinded all the way to KOG. But it wasn’t as fun anymore cause I was literally battling the same 2-3 decks over and over. Now I just play causally and hang out around gold-plat cause I can use whatever deck and have fun. Lately I’ve been using gravekeepers cause of the new meta and it’s not half bad

I recently started a new Duel Links account, this second account is just to have fun. I main Silent Magician and Silent Swordman. I don’t win all my matches but at the end of the day, i’m really having fun 🤷‍♂️

I wish i know there is a something called a gem sale because if I know that when I start playing this game I won't do what I did I open a box called generation next and this one is pretty awful

Multiple accounts only works if you're playing on a mobile device. It's a lot harder/inconvenient if you're playing on pc through steam.

The option to choose where to play your monsters/set spells and traps. Definitely a game changer. As of recently I've been collecting cards for black luster soldier deck but I'm not spending gems on chaos compliance without a sale. And ive been having these creeping thoughts of red eyes too but idk if I should be building non meta decks. They look fun though.

As a red-eyes player, I suggest you not spend gems on the deck. The deck can do moderately to well as long as you invest in some cards from other boxes too. The structure deck for beginners is fine, but to play competitively and win some games, the deck itself is not really good actually. But if you just “wanna do whatever you want” , I have no rights to stop you.

I suggest you build DM or BE deck, both of them will have lots of support or new skills for BE soon

Use dream tickets very carefully. You won't have as many as returning ayers from years, but they are very valuable

Never build meta deck as a new player. That's the first mistake I made when starting as a newbie in 2019.

Allthough u can afford some meta decks after u started a new account. For example Salads were one of the best F2P decks ever in DL history before it got axed. Shiras were also strong while being F2P back in the days

It’s not bro you just need to get better I was kog 6 season in a row before I lost my account and I just got it back after they done added links and all kind of stuff and still hit kog 😂

@@tyreecekennerson8009 I think it's being at that rank is just a negative experience in general not getting to it. It's mostly the same 2-3 decks and can be miserable when all you want is interesting matches

To expand on number 1: Don't increase your stage level until all your standard duelists are beaten, because they reload when you rank up. Otherwise, you're wasting XP

Magical musketeers is on a decent box. Two runs of it's box + two runs of link revolution gives like 6 decks go play with.

what does the toggle button do?

The toggle button is about quick effects from quick play spells, traps, and monsters with quick effects. -On, the game will ask you more often if you want to activate the card effect. -auto, when something important happens. -off, the game will never ask you if you want to trigger card effects. The On option is used to "cheat" if the opponent has quick play spells in his hand or to not miss the timing on certain cards. The off option is to hide your quick play spells or monster with quick effects from your opponent, so he will not have any idea what you are playing.
