Believe it or not, but i have never even came near louisville with 600 hours. And i dont think i'll visit it until b42 is out lol edit: holy shit its actually 700 hours

418 hours here. The first I ever went to Louisville was right over 400 hours. I decided to raid the 'Ready Prep Military store' and base in 3 door garage in the edge of the river. By the way that store is OVERFLOWED with guns, ammo and better gear like a military backpack which holds extra space (1 encumberance which is helpful if you got organized trait because you can carry exactly 12 planks). I STRONGLY recommend you to use the M36 revolver when clearing out anyplace in Louisville. Only 15 tiles is the shot raidus. It will be hard but simple to clear the house because you carry the zombies from the road.

Played coop with a friend and ran straight to Louisville from spawn. He had burglar so we just ran from car to car in a chaotic but extremely fun fight for our lives.

Along with the 3 Garage Door spot, which is right along River Road, there is Jim's Garage deeper into LV, right near the Military Surplus. It is by far my fav FOB for LV...... that might change now that fences are no longer impervious.... as Jim's is right next to a few greenspaces for growing that can be pretty well protected by having metal sheets on the animal hospital back doors.

@@membles69 That's an awful reasoning there. So many indie games have had more to show in half the time with equal and smaller teams. Devs should take their time, obviously, but "They're indie" doesn't excuse poor communication and a 2 year content drought lol. More likely than anything they're just not a particularly great team, and working with a bad engine and it's taking way more time because of these factors

I hope when NPCs are fleshed out that they have soldiers guarding and patrolling Louisville around the exclusion border. They could shout a warning and if you continue to try to get in, they'll open fire. If you manage to break in, maybe you even find non hostile NPCs, walking around just going about business and no zombies. Then it turns out YOU were the vector for Louisville's infection. Maybe the news reports can change dialogue to reflect this, reporting the fall of LV sooner than canon. One can dream...

I wonder if there would be more dynamic infection progression once NPCs come back, approaching Louisville prior to the day it falls will lead to being attacked by military and police NPCs (same for if you approach map borders or bases). but after that date, many NPCs within the city get converted to zombies, more zombies spawn and the remaining guards ignore their original duties and instead try to survive like regular NPCs. Once the infection leaves the county, you'll no longer be shot when approaching the map borders.

I don't think it's about the weapon's accuracy, it's more likely the capability of aiming the player has. Logically i assume higher levels of aiming will mitigate these penalties.

@@ShiroIsMyName It has nothing to do with "complex code" and a lot more to do with the controls being VERY PC dependent. Using controller on PC is extremely unintuitive, and it would be a mess to try and fully map the game to a controller for consoles. And that aside, as is they're struggling to put updates on the platform they're on, slotting in Xbox, and god forbid Switch and PS (which are far more particular about the state of a game to be put on their stores), would just gum up the works even further through publishing, and dealing with the companies, and the quality standards and steps to be approved, etc etc

@@U.Misha.U realism isnt always a good thing. If you want an actual realistic apoc game, go play CDDA. (yeah the game takes a big turn over to the mechanics rather than the graphics, but its very well made. Also, zomboid devs were inspired by it.)

It needs to be fired quite a bit before it begins to break, in such a situation maintenance isn't necessary for some time. He's right modern weapons are very well designed.
