To get to sleep, I HAVE to have at least some bit of sheet on top of me. Even if it is just the corner across my waist. I have long had pretty aggressive (and prescription treated) hypothyroidism. This means, among other things, my internal thermostat is kind of broken. When it's hot, I stick my feet off the side of the bed so nothing touches them and gets them hot. When it's cool, I sleep like the bed was designed, under a sheet and maybe a thin blanket. When it's cold, I HAVE to have socks on to be able to sleep of my feet are so cold they keep me awake. Luckily (?) I've amassed a hoard of hospital socks that are JUST enough to help keep the feet warm without making them super sweaty.
