Any issue with daycaps or scope covers with pinholes in them, or do you recommend completely enclosed caps? Thinking moving outside for short amounts of time before moving into a dark building.

No. I also err on the side of caution and keep them covered when not in use.

Do you mean filters to be able to use your nods during the day or to be able to look directly at the sun?

@@OrthpdoxGaming that would require tinting and/or polarization which is not something you want in a (light) image intensifier.
