Lady Elliot Island is an ocean lovers paradise. From incredible turtle riddled beginner friendly snorkelling in the Lagoon, to scuba diving with Dolphins and trains of Manta Rays on the deeper bommies, this Island has it all.
Lady Elliot Island is located on the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland, Australia, and travellers are spoilt for choice when it comes to activities and experiences.
The island has a range of unbelievable wildlife and marine life experiences for ocean lovers, including some of the best snorkelling and scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef with bucket-list wildlife almost guaranteed. If you're not a diver, don't worry. There are plenty of other activities to enjoy, such as snorkeling, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding. You can also take a guided nature walk to learn about the island's unique ecosystem, including its birdlife and turtle nesting sites.
The Island itself is also completely self sufficient, and aids in the research of various marine species and coral studies.
