Appreciate your works and help to answer most of the misconceptions on Singapore. As a singaporean, feel really proud of what you had done. Thanks.

For the fines section, you can actually "break" the law for the fine IF there is no police officers nearby or less crowded public area that is not heavily secure with CCTV. Your mom must have smoke outside the MRT station, of course she would get caught, its heavily monitor there 😂

Very good video! Just to clarify the rules a little, You can actually bring food on public transport as take away. You are just not allowed top consume it on board. With the exception of Durians.

I don't mind the strict rules if the purpose is to maintain a high level of cleanliness, safety, and order where everybody gets to benefit from these public goods.

Tell your mother never to litter her cigarettes. It's normal to litter them in europe but it counts as littering in singapore. Also the police go to great lengths to catch you, so you could be caught long after you did it. If you get caught 3 or more times you will be forced to work as a rubbish collector and they will stream you collecting rubbish on live television.

I visited Singapore last year April. I do not think Singapore is as strict as many make it out to be. I'll explain why. I was sightseeing it's Central Business District. At a traffic light junction, I stopped and waited for the pedestrain red light to change to green even though there were no cars coming from either direction, because I was told I would be fined for crossing the road on a red pedestrain light. To my utter surprise, all the many office workers on either side crossed the road unbothered that the pedestrain light was red. I was tempted to cross as they did, but did not because I thought it would just be my luck that if I did, I would be the only person caught and fined just as I was crossing 'illegally'. I did feel stupid though, being the only one waiting responsibily for the red light to change.

Don't feed birds or pigeons indoors like hawker centre or outdoors on the footpath. You'll get booked, so warn others

No offence, Singapore’s number of public holidays are pathetic when compared to other countries. In fact, like their birth-rates, it’s one of the lowest in the world… Other than the obvious reasons of doing business, Part of an important reason on why there is a need to have malls build everywhere is to disperse the general density of the population in the small island nation as well. Imagine everyone cramping into a single location simply to get their goods and services. 😅😅
