Those boxes that the ink stones are in are BEAUTIFUL! I am obsessed with containers & boxes etc. I am always looking for older types of containers at thrift stores & antique stores. The brushes with the red hairs are so very pretty! Hugs, Summer xo

just watched an interesting video on how a chinese brush is made. they said it can take 3 years to learn how... gotta be patient... i think that is what i love most about the chinese culture... their patience.

FFS if you're going to be a pedant on KZfaq of all places at least get it right. Semicolons join two independent clauses. Is "their patience" an independent clause? NO. Jesus.

Yes; because misused semicolons are way more annoying than a barrage of non-committal ellipses. They ended it with "plz"; how seriously are you going to take it? Jesus("Take the wheel"); Also, why would anybody be a necklace on youtube?

I only hope the hair is ethically sourced 🥺. They are beautiful brushes though. I just read that wolf hair is often weasel hair as Chinese don't distinguish between the 2. 🤷‍♀️

yanghaiying No neither one. It's a light pink cylindrical tin with Paris written on it. It stands around 4-5" high. Pale very light pink. You said it's very expensive and that a friend gave it to you. Also you opened the packaging in the video and the one side had a small dent and you were trying to press out the dent with your hands. Wish I could send you a pic of the tin. Also your hair cut is very lovely. Makes you look so free and fresh!

I lost this video but it's now securely on my playlist. One of the best asmr videos. Since l first saw it about three years ago, l've acquired enough watercolour skills to truly appreciate Chinese watercolour, plus my daughter has begun pursuing calligraphy with a passion. Well India is known for making alot of cars,England is known for their tea (lol) red buses, and red telephone boxes. Each country is known for something different and that makes them each as perfect in their own way.

@@alicemalice1047 First, a couple of comments is far from an obsession. Two, such a thing isn't weird. You're weird for suggesting that someone's income is like some far-away subject, when someone is showing off products, discussing her job, her job history, her purchases, in addition to things like price and frugality being subjects. Income is kind of adjacent to this. You're responding to comments that are 5 years old. I think *you* need to find a hobby. Get off KZfaq, stop reading a stranger's comments and constructing meanings and connections that aren't there.

I enjoyed the video but .....some of the brushes. "Mouse whiskers?" "Wolf and badger hair"? In this day and age do we really need to pluck out animals' whiskers and hair to make brushes? Seems cruel to do so. I would feel bad every time I used them.
