I believe most of your audience that are 50 and over are old "trail blazers" like myself. We all owned motor cycles. Yeah we are older but not dead right? :D I use my bike to commute to work because I love riding. I don't do trails, sidewalks. I am 'Not that A$$ H" guy. I go fast. I don't belong on a bike trail, paths or anything like it and if I am forced on it, I never go over 15mph. I have laid my bike down 3 times do to wet conditions, wet leaves on the ground, and hitting a pot hole at night. You hit it right. Gear UP!!! Gear up. Never take it fore granted. Even taking a short ride to the store around the corner. GEAR UP!

I turned 73 this last January and i brought my first ebike,, what i went for was Cyrusher Ovia,, Its brilliant , done a few settings to make the bike even faster.. Every old person should get one.

I will be 76 years old this month and just took delivery of my E-MTB.....I can't keep the bugs out of my teeth. It has been years since I have enjoyed something this much. Amazing technology that can be tweaked to your liking. Just today I received my new sleep system and have everything laid out for a bikepacking trip. Now I all I need is a good collapsible fishing rod so I can walk some streams and lakes.

In some places a bicycle can use a stop sign as a Yield, you can ride on the sidewalks, and e-bikes can use bike trails. Where I live those are not true.

This video really rings home with me @ 70 yrs old, and I need the exercise along with the assist. I used to ride dirt bikes and peddle bikes but I bought a crashed e bike for cheap. It is a full size hardtail and it is a handfull, and I call it a beast. I'm going to hit the gym to get my overall strength back. I'm like you and my flexibility is lacking, and my balance is also way less than it used to be. I will start out slow and decide if I will keep on riding it.

I'm 60 and have owned several motorcycles since the early 80s.. I bought an E bike a little over a year ago just to have some outdoor time on it.. I still work 40 hours a day at a place 7-8 miles from my home.. Well I rode the Ebike a couple times to work and home. We have no bike lanes and all the traffic I encounter goes 40-50 mph.. it's a real pain going to and from work at 25-35 mph on my Ariel Rider Kepler.. Just too slow. So I ride for pleasure in the area and with a bike group on group rides. No bike lanes or trails here. I would prefer an E Bike that goes 45 mph.. Just my thinking.. It would be far more useful as transportation. I feel very comfortable going 35 mph on my big fat tire Kepler. It's just no good on roads here for using as transportation. Cars get impatient and blow past me.

I bought a Jetson Bolt Pro last year. I rebuilt it over the winter. It is now a molehill bike. I wear a hi vis hoodie, have lights, and obnoxious music on a bluetooth speaker. I used hand signals and my hi vis gloves are even shiny. I still had 3 close calls and a garbage man wanting to fight me in a 30 minute ride.

Here in Japan, anything over 24kp/h requires a special license, tags, and insurance. They don't play here. So, I will get one that does not exceed that speed.

I’m 52, i’ve ordered a 2KW e-bike from GOAT power bikes. The model I have coming “can” reach 50 mph, I have zero interest in riding a motorised bicycle at that speed or much more than half that speed ! I do however want help getting up the steep hills in my home area & to be able to ride 20 miles. In addition to my car I also currently ride a 300cc maxi scooter which is capable of 90mph, again I have no interest in riding at that speed. What I won’t be doing is clipping hundreds of £s of electronics to the handle bars ! If I do have a fall / crash the last thing I want is more expenses.

I have problems walking but i ride regular bike 25 to 50 , 5 times. Week . Gloves to save the hands . From velodrome days . I the long.path from the bike and vett pa bankbarn is a struggle. The march dutch report indicted a 35 % in bike deaths . Mandatory helmet law decrease heslth according to the report .

I think it was a great vid....kids should not be on E-Bikes...1) they need exercise 2) they cause problems for us older people that know how to be aware. A town in Florida BANNED E-Bikes because a kid on a E-Bike killed a women..

The more we advance technically - the more we have to expensively retrofit our transportation infrastructures to accept common sense. Wide bike lanes and universal charging E-bik stations should be everywhere and coast to coast. They are only unsafe because they have to share the road with automobiles and the odd anti-social lunatic who thinks rules only apply to others. Let us rebuild NA to accept a better future.

An ebikes is just an electric motor assisted bicycle not a motorcycle. If you want to go fast buy a motorcycle, they have electric models now

I'm 64 and just bought my 1st e-bike, I got a Lectric Xpeak. It's a LARGE bike but I can handle it . . . .for now. I might have been better off with a 3.0 instead.
