It came out great. The wonky border really adds something extra to the card. My sand eraser is always within reach…I laughed when you commented that you didn’t know how the smudges got there. I say the same thing.

Also, I couldn’t live without my Mono sand ink eraser! Use it constantly! My other “must have” is an adhesive eraser, sometimes called a rubber cement pick-up, as it picks up dried rubber cement. The adhesive eraser lasts a lifetime, makes great gifts for fellow stampers. It picks up glue, as well as tape, and double-sided tape.

I loved this video! It will give me courage to try to repair rather than just toss. I'm so used to using stamps--perfect designs, perfect lettering, etc., that I never think of simply drawing on a line frame like you did and never would I scribble over a smear...until I saw your video and saw how lovely and sweet it turned out. Your video has given me permission to stop being so critical of my own hand drawn anythings. Thank you so much!

Alls well that ends well! Videos that show Oops are more fun than when everything shows right. I like using gems & sequins to cover smudges. Sometimes a small ribbon bow or not work well too.😅

Aww Natasha I’m glad you didn’t ditch the card either. I’ve sometimes had to get creative and cover up ink splotches, as I don’t have a sand eraser. I thought the happy birthday sentiment still looked ok, not too crooked, but you know what you’re happy with & we’re often our own worst critics. But I must say, the hexagon really worked. Great way to pivot! Well done Natasha 😊❤

Wonderful card! Thanks for giving us ideas for fixing mistakes. Some of my best cards have been cards I made mistakes on, and had to be creative to save them. I never throw cards away! If nothing else, I cut them up and use them for parts of other cards. TFS!

I thought the slightly crooked sentiment matched the card beautifully after you had done the squiggly lines. The recipient would have been looking at those gorgeous flowers, not the sentiment. Thanks Natasha, my eraser gets a lot of use too.

I was making some Mother’s Day cards this afternoon and I didn’t really love some of them. I didn’t give up though, just tried a few things until I liked them. One thing I did was blending some background colour onto the edges with blending brushes. Another was cutting down my image with a stitched square die and making a square card. Most mistakes or ‘unloved’ cards can be rescued. Your wonky frame is still one of my favourite techniques! I’ve even made myself a set of acetate frames for various sizes that I use for a straight edge before adding a wonky frame border. I hope that makes sense.

I love how your videos are so real, and how you show that when things go 'wrong' you put them right! So encouraging, my lovely, you keep on keeping on and inspire us to do the same. Also, Alcohol Markers and heat embossing are not friends - the ink smears the embossing and the embossing RUINS the pen. Ask me how I know!! Your card is fabulous, thanks for sharing!

Beautifully done!! I’m in with the masses, LOVE that you leave in the oop’s. I worked for a boss that said mistakes were actually MIS-takes. And that there’s always another opportunity for another “take” 😊

I really don't think the original sentiment was bad at all. The whole card is whimsical and the sentiment looks hand written, so I think it would have been fine. 😊💛 I ALWAYS get splotches of ink on the cards! Lol

This came out so cute! I made a card today that had weird ink splotches on it. I have no idea how they got there and I can't find my sand eraser! Thank you for showing us how to fix mistakes. I can't tell you how many cards have ended up in the bin when I started making cards because I didn't know how to fix a mistake I made. Videos like this one are so helpful!

Sometimes I think that as long as it isn't a horrendous mistake you can leave them in, I think handmade cards aren't always meant to be perfect, that's the charm of them, that being said, I still panic when i make a mistake lol.
