Hal has always been my favorite. Unlike most ppl my age I was introduced to GL by watching old Super Friends reruns as a kid. I don't understand the hate (other than he's the one always adapted) but personally I do love messy Hal.

If? God does exist in DC. Sometimes as this British grandpa. Always as one of if not the most powerful entity that never actually does anything. Lucifer is probably the most powerful dc character that actually sometimes does something. Then there's also the endless and more notably the phantom stranger and spectre who are agents of God.

you joke, but the Lanterns actually did that during Kyles days as the main lantern. Him, Guy, John and Alan would meet up at Guys bar once a month and they'd talk about their past and present adventures while drinking beer (and smoking cigars in Guys case). And yes, Guy did in fact put up a Hal Jordan manequin besides their table after the events of "Final Night" so all Lanterns of earth were at their table.

I read Green Arrow briefly because the storyline and artwork was on the level of Batman RIP. And DC cancelled Green Arrow comic.

I think it could be a fun dynamic, superman as the goofy and flashy dad, power girl as the level headed but quite stubborn aunt who's annoyed with conner's antics and teaches jon, who's the bright eyed young one who wants to be just like his dad, connner the mischeivious and cocky kid of the family who's all about social media (going back to how he was meant to be "hip with the kids) and is a bad influence on jon, kara as the sassy and sometimes angry younger cousin, matrix supergirl (long story, basically, ectoplasm shapeshifted into supergirl and then merged with linda lee danvers, but lets just assume this is the one before that) who's the tsundere to conner's arrogance, comedically punching him into the air when he steps out of line but cares for him deep down, which was implied in his solo series. I think a wayne family adventures type comic could really benefit them.

@@ProjektTaku That's a great Idea and I love it, but that's too interesting for DC so instead of making Super-family Adventures web-toon, they give it a Red Hood instead. I think they don't do anything with them because of the power creep, cause they still struggle with just Superman and his powers, so having them being together and do intersting things is a herculean task to write.

They ONLY have soo many BatBooks right now because he/they $ELL$$ and ALWAYS has...AFAIK Batman has been a Top Ten sales character since being relaunched in Batman (v1) 404 with 'Year One' by MIller/Mazzuchelli in 1987 (so like three and a half decades), he's probably aggregated out the best selling character since the Silver Age. They've given other lesser tier characters a chance (every now and again) - BUUUT they DON'T sell even when they have top notch creative teams on them.

For the Shazam run, to fix the Marvel Family’s history I would restore the entire pre-Crisis Earth-S continuity set after the first Crisis in 1985, in which all of the Fawcett characters age in real time since they first appeared in the comics, resulting in Earth-S’ first and second generation of heroes (who appeared in the late ‘30s and 40s) to chronologically be in their 50s or 60s (or physically in their 30s or 40s, since they were in suspended animation for roughly 20 years) in the 1980s. After the first Crisis, Billy Batson would reveal his identity to his longtime love interest Cissie Sommerly, and Mary Batson and Freddy Freeman would realize that they have harbored feelings for each other romantically (referencing to Jerry Ordway’s Power of Shazam). I agree that the Mark Waid announcement is the best part - regardless of what he's writing. Which reminds me of that FF video from the other day. My theory about why everyone hated that FF run is less about the story and more that it interrupted Mark Waid's run on the real FF comic. (I think that was the one.)

He had like 2 misses a few years ago and outside of that everything he puts out is solid. I'd say his recent Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow is the best book of his I've read in general.

This is true, DC needs to stop and Marvel needs a reset because too many "events" have stacked on each other that nothing really makes sense now. Especially with the VERY weird aspect of time in Marvel where everything in the past 30+ years is canon but nobody really aged at all

@@ExeErdna yeah, marvel's sliding timeline is really wonky, they could defo use a reboot since so many things are stacked on one another. On the other handle, the dc reboot with the most potential was the new 52 and I honestly think it could've lead to a new golden age of dc, but sadly they wasted its potential and are now rebooting things every year to see what sticks.

@@ProjektTaku Yet nothing can stick if there's a reboot every year and they still "carry" the canon of the last reboot. For Marvel that sliding timeline legit makes it feel like everything happened within like 5 years of each other. Instead of over decades of time.
