19:22 I live in the USA. Years ago, a friend brought back chocolate made in Switzerland that she said the Swiss government will not allow to be commercially exported. I had one of those and immediately lost ALL respect for Hershey. The comparison with genuine Swiss chocolate made Hershey bars taste like brown plastic.

Apparently there's not much chocolate (cacao) in Hershey's chocolate. It's around 10% while other chocolates are often 25-35% or higher. Swiss chocolate has more milk in it, giving it a nice flavor/texture. Ingredients do matter.

FUN FACT ~28:40 In the US NAVY, a Commander with 3 stripes who happens to be the Commanding Officer of a warship is called “Captain” regardless of not having Captain’s 4 stripes. My late Dad would always buy real farm-grown pumpkins, gut them and use them to make his real pumpkin pies. We found that certain Persimmons can also be used to make pies, tasting very much like pumpkin pie. He also made grape jelly using Scuppernongs, a thick-skinned grape grown here in the Deep South. It comes out clear yellow, looks and tastes much like apple jelly. 😊

@@lancerevell5979 Ooh persimmon pie sounds so tasty. The grape apple'ish jelly too! I tend to forgo the pie spice in "pumpkin" pie (dislike it as much if not more than canned pumpkin) and either top with whipped (coconut) cream or melted raspberry jam (the no sugar added, fruit-spread variety).

it was a weird mention to me since in the country i live they're all considered pumpkins (if the taste fits) and zuchini courgettes squashes are just not pumpkins here. so the image shown looked like a nice pumpkin to me 😸albeit not ideal for carving🤷very few ppl carve pumpkins and actually celebrate halloween in some form here

You can puree any type of winter squash to make pies with. I even made a pie with summer squash once (seeds removed, of course) as an experiment and it was great--a little bit smoother and lighter (not color) than pumpkin pie. "Pumpkin" is a generic name.

I LOVE the fact that Dairy Queen is actually ice milk. It only has 5% of the fat of standard ice cream. I was so happy when I discovered this a few years ago because fats of any kind irritate my stomach and I LOVE ice cream! So, yay! Bonus-- there are substantially less calories in Dairy Queen ice cream (only 140 in a cup of vanilla versus 260 in full fat ice cream) because a lot of calories come from fats.

Then you probably had only a few friends. Food intolerances have existed and been known about for thousands of years. Also allergies and intolerance do appear later in life as well from birth, so your ‘friends’ may be gluten intolerant now vs forty years ago. I just don’t get the hate for more food awareness? Like gluten free food won’t hurt you, you don’t have to eat it if you don’t want to?
