Great tip: If you go harvest a whopper of a diamond, and in your excitement, you hit "accept," instead of save harvest or taxidermy, all is not lost! You can load into your trophy lodge; under trophies, it will give you the option to save your last harvest.

This is probably common knowledge, but I didn't see it in an instruction manual anywhere. If you want to switch what's in your hands, rather than pressing left or right on the D-Pad and having to sit through the animation multiple times, press up on the D-pad once, then left or right however many times to get straight to the item that you need. Super handy when you're using a lure, then binoculars, then a rifle, for example.

such a great game, sure it has its weird problems, clumsy awkward ui, but the in game experience we want is there

If you spot animals before you shoot them and keep the spot on them then the map will show all the locations of the spotted animals that are dead. But you have to have the spotting skills. Not sure what the max number of spots is, but I've had at least 15 at one time on the map. Happy Holidays and happy hunting.

If you trying to lure/call a game and you want to hear where they are coming from, use the binocular to hear better. It will diminish the ambient noises a little tad but not the footsteps of the game or your footsteps.

Totally agree about the need zones, they need to sort something out that let's you know how many animals are feeding from that 1 zone.

good thing I love using my bow. I didn't know about the just placing a tent disturbed the I thought it was just the fast travel :( so I've been avoiding FT to tents at all costs, but lol...I've been spawning tents anytime i needed ammo or a quad ^^. they really should change that to after 7pm, the point where that dumb light in tent has an effect on the surroundings, bc we're incapable of turning a little light off.

Question so let's say you over hunt an area and your need zone disappears. Does that mean the animals do to? Or can you go back to the same area at the right time and get that zone back? And if it doesn't come back do you just have to get rid of that hunting pressure to get it back?

Is it possible to turn the night vission off for the new advanced binoculars?

Why don’t they just have a Sort By option? That way you could sort what bests suits the player.

Deers aren't as skittish in real life as they are on the game.. if they see you within a hundred meter they will watch you and walk away but they won't bolt unless you're sprinting in their direction

Well on the spreadsheet it shows whitetail drink time is 12-15 but on my map it says 9-12

Tip: When entering a new area on a map do NOT shoot the first high level you see. Get a better look at what is going on in the area around you. Look at other animals and find the best one. This will increase trophy score and end up helping you on your diamond grind. Many of times I have forgotten to do this and missed out on some pretty legendary species.

And I would like the creators to do as it used to be, i.e. formerly the 223 rifle was for class 1 and before it was unlocked, it was possible to shoot the fox with 243 which was for class 2 I mean that there are not many rifles for the current class 3, so now it is: 223, 243, Solokhin ( very inaccurate) 50 and 30-30, the ammunition of which has the same parameters as from the 270 rifle and I would like 270 to be able to shoot at class 3, there are now so many better rifles for class 4-8 that hardly anyone uses 270 and this is a great rifle .

I’m sure I’m the broken record here but since they changed the spawns for whitetail I e walked every inch of Layton lakes searching for them. The old hot spots, the ones I see many are finding them in now. All the zone times and every now and then I find a single doe or a level 2 buck. That’s the console version, my PC situation at the moment isn’t good. Lol any idea if I can do anything other than restart from scratch?

I really hate the fact, that animals are not rendered, if you fast travel to a tent. I kept on reporting this as a bug quite often since it came up, which actually was around the introduction of scoring 2.0, maybe even a version before that. And they keep on pushing betas with completely different versions of the game, where that issue is never present, which made me happy the first couple of betas without that bug. Till I stopped on believing, that the beta actually is a good representation of the upcoming patch. I guess they are never going to change that. In the end it's intended to be that way, so that you get stopped from grinding by only fast traveling. I still have tents on some maps, where I wasn't willing to adapt to that silly not rendering situation.

First. You don not spook ducks is you fast travel to a tent close to ducks. Second hunting pressure does not have affect on ducks feedingzones.

Lots of broken in this game. **Currently can't progress** in several missions across a couple maps because hunting stands are all broken. I don think they have the staff to figure out how to fix it.

Spooking animals 250-300m away when you put down a tent? I’ve never had an animal spook from that distance. For me it seems to be 150m or less. Maybe 200 at the most

So basically tents should be placed over 300m to where you want u to be so you don’t spook animals when you spawn in

The hunting presure isnt there every time. You know like an animal you killed a year ago doesnt have the hunting presure there any longer. Cuz you killed other animals. So my question is how many animals you need to kill before your hunting presure deletes. So could you delete a zone with a bow in a stand or does the hunting presure you got first deletes before 64 animals

How come my trophy manager only lets me have like 10 animals, and you had like 300?

One thing he forgot if you wanna waste 4 hours of your life to kill 3 deer of lvl 1. Because everything else doesnt go down in one shot like bear n moose or simply doesnt appear like coyote. Get preppared waiting in a stand for hours to hunt a mission animal thatll never appear in the hunting zone you are required to kill it in. Also that 150+ m shot will never happen because 90 percent of the map you can only get lines of sight of around 40 m. Unless your in a hunting stand but the big open field just so happens to be where your scent is going so everything smells you n runs. This is just base game im sure youll see herds bigger than 2 if you buy a dlc. But im not paying for content when the base is already lacking heavy in content. This is basically a walking sim with a hunting mini game

I got frustrated walking around spotting nothing. I played about 30 hours and got maybe 20 kills and made 10,000. The cheapest gun is 36,000 so I want to quit. It seems like they force us to buy the dlc gun kit.
