I would say that being from Washington the things I’ve noticed are not only that the health is bad but the overall healthcare system so I think it’s kind of laughable that Ochsner has a plan when medical in the state of Louisiana is I’ll equipped to address that. Also education is nearly bottom of the barrel I think only Mississippi is worse. And although a Louisianan won’t accept this next statement it’s incredibly racist and segregated out here compared to how other states function in 2023.

I moved to baton rouge from London I unfortunately was there when the hurricane hit in summer 2016 if it rained for just 1 more day our home would of been flooded🤦🏾‍♀️ Im back in London now but do miss the friendly, genuine, good people, food & Daiquiris💜💚💛

If the friendliness was paired with nice architecture, infrastructure, concerts, bars, clubs and better weather, also less crime, violence, and cancerous pollution, Baton Rouge would be great.

I've actually got a video on the list to make that will focus more on all college sports in South LA and will definitely include Southern. This one didn't go into much detail and LSU is the big nationally known team in LA for sports. My daughter actually talks about wanting to be in the Southern band.

This is the first one of your videos I've seen. Very well done my friend. You covered a lot of stuff, made it entertaining, and, far as I can tell after living here 34 years and being in the home repair business, thus driving around Baton Rouge a lot, you were totally honest, be it good or bad. You told it like it is. That's exactly the way it should be. Good, bad or ugly, tell it like it is. One thing I'd like to say about the love bugs. They're only around about a month a year. Thank God!! They area pain in the butt for sure.

A doctoral degree, or Ph.D., is generally considered higher than a master's degree. A master's degree is the first level of graduate study, while a Ph.D. is the third and final cycle of higher education. A Ph.D. is also considered a terminal degree, or the highest degree that can be earned.

Thanks for the comment... I do appreciate hearing all point of views. We love it here though. I guess a place being a shit hole is subjective. I'd imagine you'd be hard pressed to find any decent sized city that didn't have crime. I was actually in Denver earlier this week for a couple days and I got woke up one night at 1 AM by police cars chasing someone through the middle of downtown, but overall it still looked like an awesome place to live. I could be wrong though... where did you end up moving to after leaving BR?

@@hollynguyen7652 Most of the crime and bad looking parts of Baton Rouge look to be north of Mid City and around that area. That's where 90% of the crime takes place. So I'd just move to the southern outskirts of Baton Rouge, like along BlueBonnet, Highland, and Siegan Lane. Still plenty over there and it's less crime ridden.

@davidasmith87
@davidasmith87 Жыл бұрын
@@LouisianaLiving naw that ain’t it at all aggressive is Chicago, New York, and California. I call it ignorance more than anything. I question the rules of the road for Louisiana and the police that don’t enforce it. I literally watched people yield getting on the ramp for I 10 going towards the mall. There’s no yield sign present at all. I’m from chicago with a business in Baton Rouge and refuse to live there cause of the driving and bigotry. It’s some stuff there idk how black people put up with it and do it with a smile. Also they have plantations out there it’s crazy some peoples ancestors literally got whipped raped and killed at these places but you can rent it out for a “plantation wedding”. Another thing call Baton Rouge what it really is and that’s cancer alley. Everyone and I mean everyone I meet there all have someone who has or died from it. It’s so weird out there I don’t even drink the water cause it ain’t right. Very informative video but I’m one of those people where I want the whole truth or nothing at all. I’d hate for someone to have to move all the way there and instantly regret it. It’s funny I have met people from New Orleans who said they’d never ever go to Baton Rouge and I was warned but I looked at it I could make more money out there than anywhere else in my industry because of the need. No disrespect to you at all sir I jus believe in transparency 😂
