Whether you're moving here for a summer or making the next step, here's you're guide to living in Seattle and what life here has been like so far, from someone a year in. I personally loved watching videos like these because I didn't visit before moving here (don't do that lol). I've definitely fallen in love with the city and I'm sure you will too.

Seattle is called the “Emerald City” and is like no other city. One correction - there are no pine trees but there are many cedars and firs. Pine is mainly in eastern WA.

I was born and raised in Seattle went away after I graduated high school and relocated back as an adult and I can say you summarized Seattle the best way possible! Everything was on point. I can say when it comes to the Seattle freeze some people have said to purchase or adopt a dog or look on FB at different groups to meet your people. I can say returning because I'm from here people know that I am or they light up when I was living in the central district and from there. They're like oh my a local lol like I was a unicorn. Now it's just nice to be around pleasant people overall than what I left in the southern state I was living in.

@@chelseakaywright I’ve had them too!! I use that for Jamaican food. Pam’s kitchen is a true auntie on the stove - taste just like my grandmother made it
