Ghanaian inventor Apostle Kwadwo Safo has opened up a factory which produces SUVs and pickups "made in Ghana." Customers include, among others, the police. Ghana is seeking to promote products made locally.

good for Ghana! now what the country needs to do is to encourage and if possible subsidized people that want to build own and run small factories that make the parts there, instead of importing them from China. that way you keep the money circulating within the society instead of going overseas. if every small town specialized in making one, two, three or more parts, to send to the main Factory to be assembled it could be an economic boom for their country. not to mention specializing in a part(s) and community pride around it wood definitely make for better quality products and higher morale overall.

Unfortunately, the reason Kantanka Cars is able to offer world-class vehicles is simple: It gets just about everything shipped over from a Chinese automaker. The Kantanka vehicles supposedly designed for Ghana's local conditions are, in fact, indistinguishable from ones that have been on sale in China for years.

00:48 actually the car is chinese in another word, they collect parts together and call it MEAD IN GHANA let me tell you why they are doing this, it is to avoid paying tax on exporting cars from outside ghana as a result only cheap labors work on collecting this car, there are no electrical or mechanical engineers or scientists in this factory
