My old Highschool in Hawaii changed the bell a year or two after I left. It is now the same sound as the prison. So to change classes is the same sound that lets prisoners know it’s lockdown or lockdown is done… never thought of it together until now. Thanks @myrongolden

I remember in the 3rd grade Mrs Harklis introducing the class to speed reading... it was new, fun, challenging as well as fun. How many times can I use the word FUN? YES, IT was that much fun and somehow after grading the overall class she told us that we all did great... they then took it out of the class and she said she had to follow the rules. I never liked reading and the introduction to speed reading made it fun to read. Needless to say, that was a hiccup for me if they didn't think it was important for us to read quickly then what was the point? And I never took an interest and my parents weren't educated so I blended right in.

I was able to learn what is necessary to take care of myself keeping it seriously simple aka KISS. I am 66 years, three months and three days as of my comments.
