he’s already established himself as one of the greats. no need to showcase anything. if you listen to his albums, that’s how they are. less and less guitar solos and more about the music.

I thought the guitar was played beautifully. However, I'm sure Rd can play that way too. It's called scales daily over n over to make those strings make you start crying.

I was there, they both smashed it!!! We had a blast! John was unbelievably humble when he came out to open. After a couple songs, he said thank you for accepting me. I teared up.

A feel and tone like Johns just complements any song like Eds so perfectly. Wish ed let him build up a bit after that full bend @4:40. You could just tell he knew exactly where he wanted to go with it. That was just his first idea. Nonetheless, a tour with these guys would be absolutely incredible. Suprised and not suprised at all how well they fit.

haha yea true, exactly what I thought. He really wanted to use that bend to go into the Chorus but Ed Sheeran didn't notice that and/or just wanted to drag it out a bit

This video is certainly taken by a person who admires John Mayer. I am pretty sure only a few number of people who came to see Ed Sheeran had heard about John before. Little did they know they were blessed to witness this amazing performance by this duo.

I was at this show and even after a $200 cab ride to the hotel I had to stay at due to the MBTA Commuter Rail not running concert trains and my scheduled uber getting cancelled, plus falling the next morning and getting a sprained ankle and hitting my head, this song STILL made the concert worth it.
