Thanks! 2 questions: 1) is there a way to get price change results off the watchlist say over the next week to see how good the scanner features really are? 2) Once it's on the watchlist, there is a chart preview, but is there a way to load from the watchlist to see the full chart without having to cut and paste the stock ticker into the charts section? Ideally seeing the preview then double clicking something to instantly get to the full chart would be best. TIA

Thanks for taking the time to watch the video and post your questions. For question 1, Thinkorswim provides a tool for back-testing setups. This tool is known as a Chart Strategy. Works very much like a chart study, but it plots theoretical buys and sells on the chart, and provides a report so you can analyze the P/L performance of the setup. There is no way to do anything like this from a watchlist or a custom scan. It seems as though you have not discovered that watchlist gadgets can be linked to charts. So that when you click on a row in the watchlist, the chart is updated to display that ticker symbol. Was aware of this info. But informative. I would point out maybe some don’t know. Dynamic lists regenerate every day. In fact after midnight I believe they erase. That’s the disadvantage of them. I use them for swing or day trading because of that. The regular saved watchlist’s I run after market close. Bc I’m not really a day trader.

The dynamic lists can update much more frequently than daily. It depends on the time frame you have selected on the Study Filter. For example if you set the time frame to 5 min, the list can regenerate every 5 minutes throughout the trading session.
